Decided to go back to my new spot in herts and a few bikers turned up with beers so I went into the woods for a quiet session with the ViFly R130. I forgot how nice the lens looks on the fpv feed so here is the footage which is much brighter than the Quelima SQ12 HD camera. I think that I will try the 'lens-mod' for the SQ12 to hopefully get a brighter picture in HD.

Found a great new spot today to test the HGLRC XJB 145 on Tattu 4S 650S. I still haven't ordered any more 850s but had a blast anyway. Going to have to get back to this spot as there are so many unexplored lines. I might have to use the xbj 145 for going above the woods and the Vifly R130 for some bashing around inside the woods. That said the xjb with Cadex F1 Camera performed so well in the low light. I may have to make a video with the Cadex as the lighting was much were better than the SQ12.

The Quelima SQ12 worked great in the sun but in the woods it lacked a lot of colour (and I should have lowered the tilt). I think it is time to buy some super-glue and change the lens! The Quelima SQ13 and Hawkeye Firefly are in the same category as the Quelima SQ12 so they are not worth the extra bucks in my opinion.

UPDATED PIDS: I have only just set-up my xjb and have one Tattu 850 4s so haven't really spent time pid tuning as it's so much fun to fly. I have found it hard to tune out the propwash completely with the Tattu 4s 650 so my pids may not be a good starting point. That said, here they are again which I updated the igan to counter the wind and I am sure they will change again as I get used to the quad. Roll: 45, 45, 27; Pitch: 46, 50, 30 Yaw:75, 45, 20

First quick test and edit of my first video footage of the super fast XJB 145 flying around a bike track and filmed with a Quelima SQ12 HD Camera. I am sure I didn't get to 100mph but it sure did feel like it! Boy, this drone is fast and definitely an upgrade from the ViFly R130.

💨 100 MPH 💨 Quelima HD Camera Bike Trail Speed Test with XJB 145 drone under 250 grams (Adobe Edit) (2 min 5 sec)

The Quelima SQ12 HD footage is not bad for 30fps although there are some dropped frames and a black sun due to the cheap processor but for 10 it's not a bad camera.

I think the XJB 145 deserves a runcam split mini but the frame may need to be changed first. The Quelima SQ13 and Hawkeye Firefly are in the same category as the SQ12 so they are not worth the extra bucks in my opinion.

How to update or remove the date/time stamp on the Quelima SQ12: The camera will write a text-file to the sd card (20150101235530 / yyyymmddhhmmss) that can be corrected with a text editor. If you don't want the date timestamp to appear on your video simply change 'Y' to 'N' (No) and save to sd card.

Session 6 compilation of my time at 'Graffiti Bando'. I am upgrading the Vifly 130 to a XJB 145 so won't be coming back to the bando for a while.

💀 Hitting all the GAPS @ Graffiti Bando 🏟️ Compilation Footage (Quelima SQ12 Camera) (4 min 27 sec)

Making moves in small spaces is so different from flying in a field. Definitely a level up of my fine motor skills and concentration!

The Quelima SQ12 camera was amazing again in the bando handling the light indoors and outdoors. The ViFly R130 is a tough beast and has survived all the crashes with the help from some more black tape. I would have loved to take a runcam split but the bando would have eaten it up unless I had a good runcam split mount with lots of protection.
