This Saturday started out with a decent wind (10-12mph) out of the East. As the day progressed the wind shifted to the SE and everyone ended up at the SE bowl. Plenty of good fun, DJ had his new Mini Vector out and ripping and I ended up having a mid air with Jamie (both foamies....so don't worry).

Several of us "Pompano Boys" went to the Florida Soaring Society (FSS #4) TD contest in Punta Gorda. So no blog report. If you want to see info about our escapades there, read Gordon's report at: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...1417660&page=2
Paul should have a brief video up shortly and posted to youtube.
Hopefully see you guys on the hill this weekend.

Saturday was basically a "no wind" day. I think any breeze we received was thermally generated. To make matters worse the temp was close to 90 and hardly a cloud in the sky. Conditions actually sent one of our members to the ER for heat exhaustion/dehydration.
Hopefully conditions will be better next week, but I'll miss out, since several of us will be heading over to Florida Soaring Society #4 in Fort Myers/Punta Gorda. https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=1417660

Sorry for the gap in my blog reports. I had a family vacation which took a couple weeks away. Was "jonesin" for some flying this weekend, but alas, the winds were light; slopeing was mediocre. The wind started out in the East, but rarely exceeded 7 mph. We finally ended up on the SE Bowl by the end of the day as the wind shifted.
