A local pilot crashed his Flite Test foamie in a 40ft tree. So I came to help with my Vortex Pro.

I also did a quick Syma X8C giveaway to help him get started with flying quads.

Enjoy guys, Kindly,

This past Saturday morning, I took out my two E-Flite Mustangs: the 1.1m and 1.2m versions.

Both are great flyers but in different ways. While the 1.1m Mustang is a great, solid flyer, it is the faster of the two with its two-blade prop. It does a good job of flying through the wind, but its small size still allows it to buffet noticeably. Landings are nice if you keep the speed up, even with full flaps. I now only aim for two-point landings and this ensures that the plane doesn't bounce. Three-point landings invite bounciness due to the springy landing gear struts.

The 1.2m Mustang is amazing, albeit a little slower. Its scale details are very nice, and the extra 4" of wingspan really do a lot to make this plane a more stable flyer. Landing characteristics are a lot better than the 1.1m version and with fully deployed flaps, acts just like a full-size plane: adjust approach speed with nose attitude (pitch axis) while regulating rate of descent with throttle. I have had some of the most pleasurable landings with this new Mustang.

After some flying, a club member asked me to do some formation flying with him and his P-38. We did some formation flying last week, and it was a lot of fun, so we went out for a sortie together. It ended up being a lot of fun. A few close calls that probably looked a lot closer than they really were, but the passes and circuits with the two warbirds flying together was quite spectacular. We put on our own airshow!

Has anyone bought this drone yet. It looks like something I have been looking for. There is very little on it except the company videos.

Clancy Aviation Ladybug, 10.5 oz with R/E/T. Wingspan is 21.5", 430mah lipo yields 6-8 minutes of flight, 800mah lipo yields 15-20 minute flight with a slight weight penalty @ 11.5 oz. Flight characteristics remain the same. One of the best flying aircraft I have right now, it also handles winds up to 10 mph with no problem. This aircraft was scratchbuilt from plans found on OZUK, as are most of my planes as of late.

Lately, I have been concentrating on smaller models in the 10-20 oz range. This is one example of a scratchbuilt FF design converted to R/E/T. A smooth flyer, very enjoyable for someone who wants nothing more than to have a relaxing fly in the "backyard".

Ok, I decided that I would start on this now that I have a little free time. In my blog you will find many different types of models, my interests vary widely and differ according to what strikes me at the moment. Yes, I do have a touch of AHDD. I hope that anyone visiting my blog will enjoy the photos and accompanying text. I have been modeling for over 30 years and I have enjoyed this one aspect of my life immensely! I originally started out like many with plastic models, and CL Cox models. I never tried FF, but I do convert many older FF designs to modern R/C. I realize that the pictures aren't always of the best quality and sometimes details you may find interesting may not show up. If you find this is the case, or you want more detailed pictures, I will do my best to oblige you. I have made many friends over the years through this hobby and am always looking to make more, even if our only contact is through this medium. I am always happy to answer questions or discuss any aspect of this hobby you might wish. That being the case, know that my experience ranges across the board from fixed wing, rotary wing, and the new multi-rotors. I have the most experience with building and flying fixed wing aircraft, however, I am also quite experienced with the rotary wing autogyro. Thanks for visiting, and message me if you have any questions, comments, or ideas!

Here's a simple, inexpensive carrying/storage rack for an Eflite Timber which can be adapted to any plane you own with removable wings. I made it specifically for ease of carrying the plane from my 14th story condo down an elevator full of people to fit into my Honda Fit in the rear seat without folding down a thing. Rides rock solid there and only requires opening one door to get it in or out. Note the offset carrying handle which allows you to carry the rack easily and comfortably while maneuvering tight spaces.

See next (comment) page for details on how to build your own.

Foxtech Screamer250 Parameter Setting (14 min 5 sec)

Production link: https://www.foxtechfpv.com/foxtechpro...
This video is about how to set PID and other settings for Screamer 250 in the Cleanflight assistance, such as accelerometer calibrate, how does the rear booster works, PID tuning, the 3 flying modes: horizontal/manual/airmode setting and flight demonstration etc.
As a little reminder, the flight controller is mounted reversely (the FC arrow pointing to the aircraft tail) for easy and clean mount,to make sure the Screamer 250 flies normally, the YAW degree is set to 180 in the Cleanflight.
