It was Super windy this last Sunday ....

I was excited to fly but ....

I got to the field and it was breezy with a good 8 mph wind .... then while at the field a couple friends arrived and the windy weather turned calm and I even got to fly my Aito Bi-plane. Which flew great after an incident with the ground Friday ... Then about an hour later ... the wind picked up even more ... it was really windy ! It went from dead calm back to 10 mph and gusting to 15 mph .... it got even worse ... when I left at 1:04 it was just up to 30 mph ...

I spent most of the day setting up a Multiplex Cularis Glider ... we spent well over and hour ... more like two hours mixing and getting it flight ready.

I only flew the Slick and got some good flights with it and even a tail touch ....

I am getting more comfortable and at the same time more anxious to get my hands on a bigger plane ..... I might even go look at one locally ... (Look at bold letters)

The time is changing and eventually it will be almost dark by the time I get home from school ... which stinks .... but at least I have a simulator ...

I wish I could fly the Slick in the backyard ....

I got some good flying in ....

Its getting colder in TN ... its was 40 Degrees when I left the house ... I ordered a transmitter mitt so I can practice all winter.

I started the day with the Aito and I am really getting good with this plane ... its just easy flying plane that I am comfortable with .... Its great for trying out new maneuvers. It did get a little beat up after I was doing some low rolling circles and the grass jumped up and caught a wingtip ... nothing foam safe CA won't fix.

I then got the Slick out after I warmed up .... man I love this plane. I am getting really comfortable ... rolling loops are getting better ... I can do a half loop really well ... just the other half I start to panic I even got down low for some close in hovering ... I have to please the cameraman

I was going to get some video but unfortunately it didn't work out.

The quest for a bigger plane got shot down when the "budget" was a bit lower than expected .... those 6s Thunder Power batteries are expensive ... thats all I have to say ... Eventually it will happen ... Its all Bivens fault ... after I flew the 87' SHP thats all I could think about ...

Fall break is over so now its back to flying once a week ... unless I can sneak out after school ....

I might try to build a new plane this week .... not sure if I am up to it ....

It was a great days flying and I can't wait for next Sunday ...

It was a great day for RC flying ..... and their where a lot of people ... I think we counted 60-80 ...

I had a good day ... I was bummed out about my Super Cub Nightflyer .... something went wrong with the wiring and completely smoked the system ... so that will take some work.

I mostly flew the Slick and the T-28 and the Aito , half way through the day the Eflite 480 Motor on my Slick smoked. I wasn't to happy about that ....

Then some one came up and asked me if I had any extra 12 by 6 props ... and thats the prop I had on my Slick so I took it off and gave it to him. He tried to pay me but I just gave it to him.

A little while later a guy (Tony) came up to me and gave me an Eflite 480 motor ! I bolted it onto the Slick and flew some more.

I guess that was Karma or something ....

It was a great day and I met a lot of nice people ...

I left Saturday around 5:00 ..

Sunday flying was good also I mostly flew the Aito and the Slick ....

I got to take another ride in a Cessna 172 today which was pretty fun ....

It was a great day ... huge planes ... and great weather.

I arrived at 10:30 at my and go to fly my Slick a little .... their were many huge planes and even a couple of 3DHS planes ....

At 12:00 they even had a 3D time .... Their were four pilots .... including me ...

Three 50 CC monsters and one 42" Slick ... I did fly the lowest ...

Later in the day after the turbines where done I again went to fly the Slick ....

As I was walking up to the flight line a man approached me and said .... " Do you want to fly the 87" Extra SHP ...... " and I said " Heck Yea ! "

I took it up and flew the heck out of it .... it had a smoke system which I loved to use .... Torque Rolls where awesome ...

Thanks Micheal (Bivens on RCG) for being brave and letting me fly the Extra !

Their is a big fly in tomorrow ! Wahoooo ....

But I am not feeling to great ..... so I am not sure if I will be able to go .....

If I can get my Dad to take me (its a 75 mile trip) , and I am feeling well ... I will go and get some good pictures ... and take a couple planes to fly ...


I also started designing my own 3D/Pattern Hybrid .... so I hope that works out well ..
