Done

She was too nose heavy, with a lot of torque roll......no damage, so I changed the motor out to a 3530 1200kV (had to build some standoffs)....will try again tomorrow

Flew this thing yesterday...even at 20% throws and 50% expo she was like trying to fly an epileptic monkey on meth

My version of Mike Castillo's 20" Speedwing....except......24" WS, Spec's: 3542 1200kv motor, 60 amp ESC, 2600 mah 50C 4S battery, 8x4 APC-E prop, ES-3104 servos, 27 oz all up..Wortmann FX76-120 airfoil....she should be flight ready by this afternoon.....

So far I've got (1) sheet of 3/16, (1) sheet of 1/8, (1) sheet of 1/16, a bit of ply, (1) stick of 3/8" sq, a bit of aileron stock.....and some thread....lol

Video of the Flite Streak......a bit of Dutch Roll and porpoising....... need to make the couple longer, and probably add an inch or so to the nose as well....she's touchy.......this flight was all on low rates (< 50% throws and > 50% Expo)...but she's fun to fly

Done......had to rework the cowl.....used up some of the half rolls of MonoKote, which seemed fitting for an airframe I cut from the leftovers from other builds.......for you fishermen...she looks like a Kentucky Lake Crappie Jig....If I can't see this thing in the air, I'm gonna start building boats.....LOL

I had one of those "Oh Crap" moments when I fitted everything up and checked the balance.....then I remembered the battery and ESC...DOH !....she balances right where she's supposed to

48" WS version of the venerable Flite Streak CL conversion to 4 channel RC.....modified the airfoil, moment couple, and tail volumes...I know that it's been done before, but the aircraft from RCM didn't maintain the lines of the original....Fuselage this week...
