Pulp Fiction DIY Light Brief Case Mod (2 min 49 sec)

hinges were blown out and smells a little like smoke, fabricated a new hinge and nailed and built metal support for the sides hot glued in place. blah blah nice brief case found in the trash... blah blah

well here is what I'm gonna do with it - remember "pulp fiction..." - open the brief case and glorious yellow light emits from the inside of the case. Just thought it'd be real cool - peopled be like "whats in the case?!"

great price - for complete micro quad DSM2 electronics! if they convert to different frames/motors - cheap enough to experiment

bought 2 complete frames motors for walker ladybird hopefully DSM2 Rx fits frame may have to make own - got hotglue?

great price - for IR toy cheap cheap decent frame poor electronics decent price maybe alien air rx fits smaller LB frame
lots of options we'll see if any of them pan out fingers crossed - All this will be worth it if I can and fly a tiny tiny quad with DX7 - enough parts for two complete quads indoor and outdoor with extra parts for $115 not bad - questionable but not bad at all

I want to learn the bike. Be able to take it apart and fix whenever it breaks. But I don't want to work on it if its not a complete bike.

I thought by overpaying and communicating often with the seller he would send me a used but complete bike... don't assume TRUST, always inspect and count every screw. Upon further inspection Im missing side bar screws too?!?!? Must have vibrated those out also, cough... (hor$e$hit)!

either way, INSPECT the item very well before use. Sure I ran the bike in the grass and in some nice straightaways to get balance but not for more than 45minutes total.

I have cheapest HK charger would take several hours to charge 1 discharged lipo - instead ran for 3-5minutes gently then recharged lipo again. Until the hard bashing of the park video {sarcasm} No way 45minutes vibrate out 8+ screws, my bad for not inspecting. All this said - I sent whole bike to Venom Support! Chris Nicastro has been awesome - encouraged me to fix myself... Will update cost of fixing damage to bike due to missing or vibrated screws.

My students have been working on Walkalong gliders this last week. Hot write cutter makes all the difference. Without super-lite-weight material these are very difficult to make, with <1/16th foam it a snap!

Student Walkalong Challenge - Our school is quarter mile long, sustained flight for the entire length and back without catching, hitting or dropping your walkalong (>half mile)! Shouldn't be too hard would take skills though - "A" of the day for any student to accomplish this feat! Will post video if there are any takers...

Pteranodon is by far the favorite design of the kids. Easiest to make/fold for great results and looks so cool flying the halls!

Edit: asked and Chris Nicastro said it was a great idea to get egyro onto my bike, may take some time but sure I'll be 1 of the first. Chris is the best!

Didn't think it'd be sitting on the shelf so quickly... of course didn't think I'd vibrate 6 of 10 screws out in less than 45minutes running time. Surely would not have run it so hard if I knew they were going to come out... Fun to drive at the park but not worth the expense and experience - just left a bitter taste - Edit: Love VMX while it lasted hope not bad press for the bike or company bought USED... obvious my experience is not the norm for most VMX owners.

...started to take video but uh um, 30minutes of a specked glider is pretty darn boring! and hard on the neck! so just took this shot.

Give an idea about size of NE Skysurfer Best UM Powered Glider Conversion. Excellent power aerobatics and thermals easy and so stinking lite! search vid good stuff this plane!

EDIT: Still haven't found SKY500 - was 1st fly away these were my emotions than cause I went running down streets after a toy airplane

VMX destroying the Park! (2 min 6 sec)

Posted by elvill | Apr 28, 2012 @ 08:56 AM | 7,928 Views
Read the entire VMX thread before purchasing 1st rc bike, used VMX from rcmoto vet. Asked Chris many questions and basically handheld until arrival. Gone through 6 packs and I have to post my infatuation. So much FUN, learning the finesse of driving over different surfaces is a neat challenge. Screams over grass I cant believe how cool it is. Buddy has a huge buggy he flaunts at the park, vmx will eat it up.

Only bad thing is waiting for charge and new lipos to arrive. And cleaning all the grass off. Thank You Michael, Chris and Kim my stunningly beautiful intelligent GENEROUS wife.

Always better to ask forgiveness than permission I say. She was flat out impressed instantly thought it was the coolest rc we have (lots).
