Aerial Mapping by Mapird VTOL Fixed-wing With RTK/PPK System (3 min 27 sec)

Hey Guys, we just conducted an aerial mapping on Mission Planner using one mapping VTOL Mapird, and the mapping camera MapCam-I is SONY A7R camera-based. Also, RTK/PPK system is used during the whole process. We want to share with you the video here and get more suggestions about mapping via the Mission planner.

I have been running this little (and awesome) engine for a while now and totally love it !

I have built two wooden frame jet for it, but after a mishap on the second one the engine became an orphan. Having built 6 other EDF conversions (K30 all) this came as an easy-piecie project. There is a great advantage to foam over wood or composites; not IF but -when- you crash it bounces back in big pieces, providing protection to your internal components. .including the engine.

It is an HSD "Viper" (but it is totally an -AVANTI- in foam. I had a while ago the HSD white/red (NAVY) turbine jet and I can tell you that it is heavy, but flyers great!

I found, after giving up a long ago, a V-1 EDF Viper "red". The V-1 was the lightest ever, before the coming of the "turbo-foam" and cautious but heavy reinforcements were made.

Also. must say, I saw it in an YT video already converted for the X45 and flying ( in Ferrari color scheme)..

You can see in one of those pictures how cavernous the engine bay area is, but even with that, I had to remove a couple of pieces from it to allow room for the fuel tank to be centered ==at the CG point ==

The pipe tail end mount was made of 6 layer plywood cut to fit a good old pipe made for a Wren44. Bare in mind that Newtons are Newtons (force and heat) no matter the size of what produces it ! The Xicoy 45 is about half the size of the Wren engine.

The EDF unit removed, shows its weight in the picture,...Continue Reading

Here are some photos. This is a little more discrete and I can delete the blog when we are done.

I'm about half way thru box. I'll try to highlight the valuable parts I see in order of photo number.

604 Clutch bell, Metal cooling fan, a few plastic fans, a 46 fan, several plastic start cones, a metal start cone a few head blocks, a few sets of blade grips.
Several sets of feathering shafts

606 Lots of tail sliders, some blade grips, several bevel gear sets.

Your phone number doesn't work.

User manual

It took some time for the Astrolux FT03 to get into my hands . The order was placed May 6 and it arrived Feb 19 . I can only assume that it took some time for who ever makes the Astrolux FT03 to make some , or possibly they are very popular ? I did take the FT03 for a walk and to be honest it's not nearly the best walking light out there . But what it does do is throw ! It throws Nuts ! The FT03 is probably the most throwy flashlight I have ever encountered .

This flashlight would really need some serious looking at if you Spotlight , do search and rescue or any activity where you need to put a lot of light a long way out . The pictures show the FT03 lighting up a Tower over 400 meters away . Doing this in the city with all the associated glare from the city lights . Just one word comes to mind = Impressive .

The Astrolux FT03 comes with a lanyard and some spare 0 rings as well a battery tube / spacer to run 18650 . I am using a Xtar INR 21700 as it's the largest battery I have . The FT03 will actually take a 26650 , but so far I have had no issues with the 21700 . The springs hold the 21700 in place really well and there is no battery slap to speak of , even if you shake the light . The build quality is really nice , and everything screws together tight . The inbuilt USB charge port is handy if you are using the light a lot and have a handy USB power...Continue Reading

Ghost Rabbit GR1 solid rear axle assy (0 min 20 sec)

The rear axle housing consists of four main components, all fully CNC machined. Only four screws are required to take the housing apart. The housing is very strong, yet keeping costs for spare parts reasonable.

A one-piece machined housing may look gorgeous on the shelf, but needing a replacement can easily break the piggy bank.
One has to keep in mind that in a machine-versus-nature scenario nothing on earth is indestructible. It is in the nature of things that the operation of any vehicle also requires spare parts at some time. Therefore we always keep an eye on the costs of ownership when designing our parts.

Pulled out my T-Rex 450s from 11 years ago in January and it gave me the bug. In fact, it made me realize i need to get my but in gear to accomplish my bucket list item of being a decent heli pilot. All my batts were in bad shape and the little buggers are hard see now that i'm older, so i started looking at the T-Rex 500 which i really liked back when i was flying my 450s a lot. Great balance of size and crash affordability.

So, one week of evenings after receiving it from Tammies Hobbies it was ready to go. Maiden flight was 2/19/19. Flies superb! This fly-bar-less stuff is kinda cool.

Pictures at the field were taken 2 days before my first test hop which was in the back yard.

Estimation of the number of trees and their canopy coverage in forest nursery fields is of great significance for the management of forest nursery. The calculation of the number of tree plants and their canopy coverage by conventional techniques is laborious and time consuming. It is of great practical significance to explore a new technology that is fast, efficient, low-cost and accurate.

In recent years, the remote sensing technology of UAV has developed rapidly. The application research results have been achieved in land remediation, land use planning, fine detection of mine geological disasters, investigation and evaluation of mountain flood disasters, calculation of building density and floor area ratio. However, in these applications, the drones used are mostly expensive aerial survey drones, and the data processing is complicated.
1 Experimental area and data

Figure 1 corrected drone image

The experimental area is two ginkgo forests in the Yudu District of Chengdu. The experimental area is flat. The data used is the image obtained by the DJI PHANTOM2 VISION+ drone. The image is a fisheye image, and the fisheye lens is corrected and geometrically corrected for the fisheye image. The corrected image is shown in Figure 1.

As can be seen from Figure 1, the image was taken in the fall and the ginkgo leaves were golden yellow. There are 3 ginkgo nursery fields in the image, and 2 of them are selected as test plots.

Guys,

Here's WEIGH-IN Session on my E-Flite AT-6 Texan using the Park Zone 480 and the 3D Printed 9-Cylinder Radial Engine Bust.

Previous Post about WATTS - AMPS - VOLTS under Load can be found at:
https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...ite-AT-6-Texan

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

However, I did perform a new WATTS - AMPS - VOLTS under load test during the night of Tuesday, November 19th, 2019 and here's the data:

I have performed my 3rd WATT - AMP - VOLTAGE UNDER LOAD test on my E-Flite AT-6 Texan that was configured with the Park Zone 480 motor and Castle Creations 45-AMP ESC and using GEN ACES 3-Cell, 2200mAH, 35C, Lithium Polymer battery pack and fully charged.

During a careful pre-test check, I found something wrong with the propeller adapter so, I changed it and it was a simple fix as I had access to the set screw holding the Propeller Adapter and there was enough space for the HEX Tool.

Here's the Video and Results of tonight's Test: APC 3-Blade 10 X 7 and Park Zone 480 Motor

1/4 Throttle - 39 Watts / 3.23 Amps / 12.22 Volts

1/2 Throttle - 146 Watts / 12.85 Amps / 11.42 Volts

Full Throttle - 219 Watts / 20.44 Amps / 10.74 Volts

Hi, I'm looking to sell my Fatshark HDO. I have used maybe 5 times. They are like new. I've been using Dominator 3s because I like better than Hdo. I'm looking for $300.00. I want to buy Orqa or Hdo 2 but do not want to spend another 500 on Fatshark.
