She's a cross between my StealthStream, the Concorde, and a Vulcan........Flight Ready......no ballast required to get the CG.....(2) 70mm Freewing 6 bladed fans, Freewing 2836-3300 kV motors, 65 Amp ESC's, 2600 mah 30C 4S batt's, TowerPro MG946R Servos, Lemon 6 channel Featherlite DSMX/DSM2 receiver, McDonald's large coffee cup nacelles.....3.6lbs All up weight...close to 8 lbs of thrust
Results of maiden: Complete failure boys......I got the CG way too far back.......did something wrong in the balance calc's, just not sure what yet.......jumped off the ground like a grasshopper and went straight up....no amount of down helped.......I suspected that the fans were too far back, but forged ahead anyway......back to the drawing board.
Update: FOUND IT !.....when I calculated the CG, I forgot to set the CG at 25% of the mean aerodynamic chord...calculator defaults to 30%......which means the CG is about 2 1/2" too far back.....in the words of Jeff Dunham's Walter...Dumb ass !
