Just logging my new Frsky telemetry burn rates.

Snipe
400 mAh 1 S pack
2-Graupner's
2-JR DS 285's
x4r telemetry rx

1 hour run @ idle
3.84 on Taranis
3.81 on voltmeter

210 mAh back into pack

Assan rx on same setup.

1 hour run @ idle
???? on Taranis ( I forgot to look)
???? on voltmeter

125 mAh back into pack

So the Assan is way less power hungry which I am sure is due to telemetry

Snipe 153.41
XXL 135.86
Polaris 173.74

3S Lipo tx pack
https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=17955

436 back into a 3S LiFe tx pack after a 2 day contest and a fair amount of AULD's after the contest

All my planes now fly 1S lipos.

I have flown for over 4 hours on 1 charge with no noticeable drop in range or servo speed.

This is the RX I have in most of my DLG's now.

Step One

Closely examine the clogged tip. Ensure that the proposed opening is much smaller than the wire you will be using. This will ensure the wire does not bend!!!!!!! You want a VERY STRONG WIRE!!!!

I have never done a build log or written instructions. Its harder than it looks.... I stole alot of the instructions from the other thread, so thanks for letting me steal your stuff.

Anyways, hope this helps consolidate all the great information on the great plane.

Cut out servo bays. Remove foam all the way down to the skin on the top of the wing so the servo sits as deep into the bottom of the wing as possible. This will allow the servo horn to protrude as little as possible under the wing.

There is a black piece of material that forms the void for the servo wires when removed. Do not cut through the skin deeply in that area to avoid cutting into black material, so that it will retain its strength and not be cut which will make it harder to pull out if it breaks. If it does not easily come out, do not pry or force it. It may be easier to free the material after the hole for the servo wires is drilled....Continue Reading

My first DLG contest was the Red Rocks Challenge where I was flying a Topsky or as I like to refer to it, the TSOL!

I flew great for having flown for 6 weeks and learned ALOT.

I hope to develop this blog as a place to track my DLG travels and what I have learned.
