I see I've been getting 'visits' in here, so I should post something!
As a quick introduction, I've been away from R/C for 20-odd years, the whole life/career/family thing made me put this hobby on the back burner for awhile, but earlier this year my Navy daughter overseas sent me the Art-Tech Pitts Biplane RTF for Fathers Day!
That's all it took, I've been re-bitten by the bug in a bad (good?) way so I'm slowly getting caught up on all the changes and advances that have been made over the intervening decades. I keep finding myself amazed and overjoyed at all the sweet new toys we have available to us now and the advances in electric flight, while simultaneously confused and lost stumbling thru the new terminologies and standards so commonplace today, technologies that weren't even yet an idea back in the '80's!
I found this forum while looking around for some information on the biplane before I tested my rusty thumbs flying it, and discovered many helpful and friendly folks all over this place, like this is one huge modeling club and ALL your flying buddies are right here with you, one of the more fantastic aspects of the Internet in that way, compared to 'the old days' when we had naught but our local club and the magazines to keep us together!
I'll probably put up a gallery post once I've scanned the pics of what I was flying in the past, some few of them still survive to this day, in one form or another...
