It is true to say I like my planes ! I had quite a few, some died of a violent death, some were given away (not many ) and most got sold...
so here is the list of my current FPV airframes

On 1.2GHz video and Futaba/Chainlink RC
-Multiplex Cularis
-Skywalker
-Parkzone Radian

On 5.8GHz video and 2.4GHz JR/FrSky RC
-URSUS
-Jamara Roo (Skyfun British edition)
-SinguyTricopter
-Quadcopter

I will endeavour to take pictures and illustrate the different aspects of each airframe.

Hello again !21-9-2012
I have been reminded that being a PLUS member has it's responsibilities and one of them is keeping the blog active (thanks André)

So I thought I will start talking About my equipment (not THAT equipment ladies !) starting with the ground station and then my planes.

when I first Started FPV I had a 2.4GHz VTX/VRX set from HOBBYWIRELESS. I bought that because I didn't know any better and I was not aware of the existence of RCGROUPS.
the system worked fine but I soon find out that it clashed with the 2.4GHz RC transmitters . so I had to abandon that video frequency pretty fast or fly on my own...

So I decided to use the 1.2GHZ system. I first bought them from Dinodirect and BestOfferBuy (BOB). nowadays I get most of my stuff from BEVRC.com

SO here is my actual ground station

This is my EXPLORER . Own design plane made of liteply and foam wings covered in brown parcel paper. It is powered by a OS.46FX wet engine with a 2.8m wingspan.
This was made on my early FPV days where I wanted an airframe that will "loiter" My previous FPV plane was a Easy Star.
Having had my fun with it, I equipped it with an air to surface missile

Rocket attack ! (4 min 58 sec)

but this plane excelled in its cruising abilities. The use of a 360 degreees pan servo made it more enjoyable

Cruising with the Explorer (8 min 57 sec)

Let me introduce myself:
I am originally an electric engineer graduate but I have been working as a CNC applications and retrofit engineer for over 25years now.
Unfortunately the saying "if you don't use it you loose it " applies here and, nearly all my electronic knowledge has bee reduced to hobby leve.

I can speak fluent French and Spanish and English, being French myself but having lived nearly all my life overseas (Venezuela..."that was a mean bush" )

I have been involved in aviation since I was a kid, but being colour blind put a stop to my dreams of being a commercial pilot.
So I got involved in RC controlled planes, I have done countless hours in the FS4 Simulators and on line flying (vatsim community) and finally now

I AM HOOKED ON FPV

I will be posting some of my handy tips and accomplisments soon... As they usually say. THIS SITE IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION
