Cruising slow and low with a new rig for cinematic recordings. Had a ton of fun in the trees. Got to tinker more with the GoPro settings for difficult light situations.

In my first Caddx Ratel night test video it was not visible how dark it actually was outside. Inspired by RCG user TinkleWid aka Silver Steve I added a Ratel to the Caddx Turtle on my Armattan Gecko because the FPV feed of the Turtle is just bad.

With both cameras on board you can directly compare the Ratel feed (the small screen) to the Turtle's HD record. The Turtle gives a good impression how dark it was to the eyes about half an hour after sunset while the Ratel made it bright and comfortable to fly.

One of the first tests of the Caddx Tarsier in a custom build based on a GEPRC CX3 frame. Unfortunately this Tarsier didn't save any sound for some reason, so what you hear in the background comes from the mic on the VTX recorded by the Fatshark goggles. The image is impressive tho, no jello and quite sharp even on 1080p.

This was supposed to be a very short test because there were some adjustments to make. Usually I don't fly near birds but a curious buzzard kept flying over my head and literally seemed to ask for a dance. This species is known for exceptional flying skills but doesn't catch prey in mid-air like falcons so there was no risk for either the bird or the tiny 213 grams copter.

GEPRC CX3 w/ Caddx Tarsier, Short Test (2 min 41 sec)

My first own 5" quad is finally in service. For a very long time a friend had this one lying around in parts waiting for someone to build it. That was me I had some trouble with the VTX but it's sorted now. It still needs some tuning and maybe other props. And I need to learn how to clean the front glass of the Gopro before flying

Chasing the Gigawing was a ton of fun since it's huge and slow. Watch the other quad trying to land on it, lol.

Someone lost his RC sailplane in the field and we did some search and rescue using the DJI Mavic. After that I had great fun chasing wings and planes in the golden hour. Buddy 10REDFPV made a nice cut of it along with some funny footage from his cinewhoop.

Sunset Cruise with the Armattan Gecko and the Caddx Turtle, this time on 3S instead of 4S, went faster than expected.

I set the Turtle from 60 to 30 FPS for a change. For that golden hour look I reduced blue significantly in the editor. The sound is recorded from the Caddx and heavily filtered as usual.

The Armattan Gecko is my favorite quad at the moment and the Caddx Turtle is one of the reasons. I noticed some propwash when I watched the video below so I inreased D by about 10 percent and it's almost gone now.

The Caddx Ratel FPV cam has amazing low light abilities. The 3" quad in this video has a cheap LED flashlight on top and weighs 170g including a 3s 450mAh battery.

Same settings as for the Turtle as before but I had to do some color grading, maybe because it was a bit cloudy.

Lost Bridge (4 min 3 sec)

In this video I used different filters for the sound in the edit but I did not touch the image quality which looks quite good to me. You'll find the changed settings, a link to the firmware and other stuff in the video description if you're interested.

I wish we could have a better FPV image quality with these cameras though. Flying safely near trees with lots of leafless branches is still a matter of luck.

I didn't change the settings of the Turtle yet. The Gecko 3 inch flies very smooth and stable, almost like a 5 inch.

A major part of one of Germany's most famous ruins, "Building No. 10", has been torn down. The Continental factory in Hannover-Limmer was founded in 1899. Its buildings had covered the whole peninsula until they started to tear them down after the production had been moved to other sites in 1999. The remnants are classified and protected as historical monuments by law but unlike the restored tower the big representative building at the channel side is in an extremely bad condition and its future uncertain.

The excavator driver is a very nice guy and didn't mind our little quads buzzing around his 50 tons demolition monster.
