I fly micro FPV drones (those that spin 4" props or less) and I'm constantly looking to improve upon the "components" for my builds.

One such "component" is the LiPo battery which actually is normally the heaviest "component" on your quad.
Now, I've been flying GNB and RDQ LiPos for quite some time and have been very happy with them.

Recently I came across a relatively new brand of LiPos, Auline. Noticed Auline has a 4S 1000 mah LiPo (60C) which is advertised as:
"a very powerful battery that is suited for micro long-range builds that utilize an XT30 connector."

I have been using the GNB 4S 1100 mah (50C) LiPo for this purpose, however, this "new" Auline is 8 grams lighter for about the same capacity (1000 mah vs 1100 mah). I have been getting at least 17 minutes of flight time with the GNB so I thought "Wow, I wonder what I can get out of this new Auline at about the same capacity but 8 grams lighter!"

Here's what I found out

Do RPM Filters ACTUALLY work?🤔
You tell me!
Here's a quick, side-by-side comparison (through 2 maneuvers on 2 separate flights) of both with & without RPM filters using Betaflight Blackbox Explorer!
Are these filters worth implementing?

Posted by TMacFPV | Apr 11, 2020 @ 09:29 AM | 9,360 Views
Okay, honestly when I normally upgrade to a new Betaflight version for "additional features," those features are usually small improvements and I'm happy.

This RPM Filters feature - OMG! I am a BELIEVER! 🤯

RPM Filters are phenomenal! I really wasn't expecting THAT much of a difference! WOW! 🤩 Full-throttle, hair-pin turns and no prop wash?!? Are you kiddin' me?!?

Where has this been my whole life? Thank you Betaflight Dev's, Jflight, & JazzMaverick!!

Do FPV simulators really help? What's the best way to get started in FPV? 🤔

In this video I'll give you my answers to both these questions

I go over . . .
- the benefits of using a Sim to hone your flight skills
- take a quick look at the "Top 3" Sims
- use one of them to build a basic custom track (in 40 sec's!)
- and demo 4 practice drills you can use to get started with FPV flight! 🤩👍

Video Aerial Systems (VAS) has developed a new "micro-type" 900 Mhz antenna for use with the TBS Crossfire system.

It's called the XFire Pro and has many features which, according to spec's, make it possibly the new standard for Crossfire receiver antennae!

So, of course, I had to try it out and thought I'd share my results with others.

I compare the XFire Pro antenna with the Immortal T antenna by looking at the spec's of each. I also conduct a basic static performance test of the XFire Pro versus the Immortal T followed by comparison test flights to help you decide which antenna may be the right one for you. Enjoy!

Couldn't find the type of frame I wanted readily available. Was looking for a lightweight, high-performance, "True-X," Stretch-X, or Hybrid-X Micro frame with HD video capability in a dual-stack configuration.

So, I designed my own! My first design - the TMac Diamondback Rattler!

Please, let me know what you think. Like it, don't like it? Reasons for either? Let me know! I go over all the spec's dimensions, and thoughts behind the purposeful design wit a flight demo at the end. Check out the hyperlinked Table of Contents in the video description if you'd like.

I personally am very happy with how it turned out and it flies outstandingly! 🤩
