I've just finished a full review of the WL Toys 124019 where my focus has been on the improvements and benefits over the 144001. The review can be found here:
Below is a short excerpt from the conclusion to give you a taste:
Quite simply the WL Toys 124019 is a very well designed car that has a number of subtle but crucial improvements over the hugely popular WL Toys 144001 that will make it more reliable with better handling and greater durability. Although it is better set up from the factory, there are still a few tweaks that need to be made on order to get it handling at its best but these do not take long and no special parts are needed - they are practically free. Although this car has impressive performance out of the box with its oversized brushless 550 motor, it also has a lot of potential to be upgraded, particularly a move to brushless power that can offer a more top speed, better acceleration and much better battery life.

Here is a rather comprehensive setup guide and of course review for the Eachine Shadow Fiend 4 inch Sub-250g Long range quadcopter.
In a busy category this one stands out as the most competitively priced although it does need a few tweaks which I've detailed. Better yet I have a 15% discount coupon in the article which makes it cost only about $100 more than the Caddx Vista DJI unit alone.
Just a quick note that I have solved the issue of adding a TBS crossfire receiver without having to forgo GPS functionality as the support page recommends...

I've had a customised list of specials created for my by Banggood based on the RC Cars and FPV quads and parts I've reviewed and admire. I've weeded out the 'not really a special' prices and am left with the 34 in this list. Hopefully you find something that suits:

The XLF F16 is a Ready To Run (RTR) 1:14 scale 4WD off road Radio-controlled racing buggy. It notably includes a very large 550 sized brushless motor and a number of 'upgrade' metal components including suspension arms and knuckles. The brushed version as reviewed here retails for around $100 and has options with one or 2 batteries.
Probably the micro of the moment in my mind. I had over 6 minutes of decent speed flight on a 3.5 year old 2s 450mah battery that wasn't that good when it was new. Tune is great out of the factory and the hardware is well matched but check out the link for more details.
Oh yeah, 14% coupon code at the bottom of the article if it smokes your tyres.

I have a spreadsheet linked below with all of Banggoods RC specials (particularly FPV drones and cars) which are live for 2 days only. I've highlighted what I believe are the best deals but check them all out as everyone has different wants.

I love the WL Toys 144001 1/14 scale RC Buggy and have written a lot of articles on tuning and upgrading it here. It is inexpensive and runs well stock or is easily upgraded to brushless power which offers better speed and acceleration as well as battery life. But how does it compare against the car on which is was based, the LC racing EMB series on which the 144001 was (let's face it) copied from?
So surely you know by now that the 144001 is a budget copy of the LC racing EMB-1 but with a bigger brushless 550 motor and integrated ESC/receiver and no slipper clutch. This means that WL Toys have been able to grab a big slice of the popular RC car market at a price point of $70-80 for the 144001 vs $200ish for the LC racing equivalent. But this is clearly not a fair comparison so what if you take the brushless upgraded 144001 with a raft of replacement parts, tally up the cost and then compare? Would you still buy the 144001 to upgrade or would you just got straight for the LC racing? I'll break this down by price and performance in order to give you the clearest information to make this decision for yourself and my opinion I what I would (and did) do.

The FUS X111 Pro is a fully ducted micro 2.5 inch quadcopter capable of carrying a small HD camera for safe and stead HD recording. It differs to other products in the market by being considerably lighter and cheaper. Presently it retails for $99 on Banggood which is substantially less than other cinewhoops. Is it anygood? Surprisingly the answer is yes, even carrying a full sized runcam 5 HD camera. Full review and setup is here:

I've just been given this massive list of over 100 products that have been discounted with coupon codes at Banggood. Most of the deals are really good so won't try to summarise here but there are a good selection of new and popular bind and fly quads, components, radios, goggles and camera rigs.

The WL TOys 144001 is excellent value for money but there are a number of quirks, one of which is that the tyres are not especially grippy on much else than hard packed clay/dirt or carpet. I've found two sets of off-road tyres/wheels that are compatible with the 144001 in that they physically fit and just as importantly don't upset the gear ratio significantly. Here are my findings and more importantly recommendations:
Here is the updated coupon list for the summer prime sale. If you are wanting to buy something RC* then it's worth a look here to see if you can get a decent discount - there are over 200 items in the list
The WL Toys 144001 is a great car but an upgrade to brushless power makes it even better. I've found a unicorn pinion gear that allows you to do so without any slotting of the motor mount.
If you were looking to buy anything Quad or RC Car related check out this spreadsheet I've put together for all of the current Banggood specials in their summer prime sale. Some are great, some are meh so have a good look through. Note there are three tabs...
