I never thought using superglue / CA for building a balsa plane would speed up the building process in an ungodly manner. This also applies for when you've sanded away too much and quickly have to add balsa strips to correct mistakes

I've added an extra 1.5mm carbon rod for more stiffness. Also, ... I'm hitting a wall here. The CG is becoming a problem as I guesstimated correctly While I kept 98% of the proportions according to plan, the motor up front and the added balsa in the fuselage for strength, tips the balance point heavily towards nose heavy when dry fitting a battery in the space originally planned. I have to do some free style scratch building to solve this without adding too much useless weight in the back. Or design an altered fuselage with a shorter nose. *Edit* OR trying to stuff most of the FPV gear in the back / on the tail
**Edit** Nope, i shortened the fuselage with a good two inches. It will work but space for gear is limited... Back to the drawing board. Either design a new, longer tail section or a complete new fuselage and change the looks completely.

70mm Powerfun 12 blade fan
3400 kv motor
80 Amp ESC
3300 mah 50C 4 cell

Episode 5 Trump on Steroids
Upon election day results pile in and seeing the re-election as a now lost proposition Trump resigns before the inauguration making Pence #46, who then pardons him of all wrong doing (review Nixons I am not a crook routine).
After Pence bails out Trump, he runs out the shot clock having no real power anyway. Now that Ive been proven innocent of all wrong doing Trump becomes a talk show host/pundit reviled by all but the reddest of necks, the whitest of sheets and the blackest of hearts.

History note for those that aren't aware, Adolph Hitler was heavily medicated by his personal physicians. They pumped him full of cocaine, methamphetamines, as well as vitamins and other substances. Substances which no doubt added to his inhumane, maniacal and psychotic behaviors as well as ultimate suicide.

DJT has contracted Covid-19, his personal physicians are assisting his recovery with Dexamethasone, literally Trump on steroids. Substituting DMA coincides with another TikTok hack and many viral videos ensue. His dancing does not improve unfortunately.

This is the flight of my 1230mm wingspan TechOne Neptune 64mm EDF Jet Wing, modified for 4S flight.

TechOne Neptune 64mm EDF Jet Wing 4S Performance Flight (4 min 39 sec)

1) Receiver - Lemon RX DSMX 7-Ch Diversity Stabilizer / Receiver
2) ESC - Hitec Energy Sport 40a ESC
3) Battery - Tattu 4S 1800mAh 75C Lipo
4) EDF Unit - FMS 2840-3150KV Motor / 11-Blade Ducted Fan Unit
5a) Internal Cooling - Custom 3D-Printed Ram Air Intake Scoop (Lipo / ESC Cooling)
5b) Internal Cooling - Additional Rear Hatch Exhaust Outlets Cut (1:3 Inlet-Outlet Ratio)
6) Servos - Hitec HS-5055MG 9-Gram Metal Gear Servos x 2
7) Structural Rigidity - .057" x .177" x 11" Carbon Fiber Flat Spars x 2 (channeled and inserted in between the fuselage and wing sections)

I've had this EDF wing for several years now, but it's never had any spotlight time until now. This is absolutely one of my favorite and unique wings that I've kept to myself from social media until my friend Robert decided to record my flight yesterday. The grass was also at the right height and smoothness to attempt a take-off from, as well as a touch and go. Very much to my surprise, both were easy to do, and is another fun/unique feature from this already cool EDF wing.

It's a shame that there aren't many (if at all) of these EDF wings in production anymore. Despite the poor TechOne equipment it came out of the box with (a stock motor lead that had a wire separate on inspection, malfunctioning ESC, and a busted plastic servo), The Neptune is really a brilliant EDF Wing design that comes alive when quality internals are installed. I'm hoping that there will be an EDF wing re-release of something like it from one of the current reputable manufacturers in the future.

Reporting in..........................

This super early this morning (October 25th, 2020 ) at Central Florida must have been the best weather conditions ever in a long time! Completely Dead Calm and cool temps.

Flew my modified Park Zone Spitfire Mk IX for two (2)_ wonderful flights and the very first one was pretty much alone by my self and before anyone else came to fly at my alternate RC Flying Site. I was able to fly this Spitfire one click below Half Throttle and it was majestic scale flight. Now I understand Why-O-Why I like to lighten all my models as it provides Scale effects and I was able to command the model in super slow level flight.

Second flight was exciting at best because a buddy finally arrived and he and I decided to fly in Formation, however, it turned out into a racing match and guess who passed the other and won? My Spitfire!

Before heading to this alternate RC Flying Site I was able to touch UP the Spitfire model with some acrylic paint(s) and it looks terrific!

Power System: Park Zone 480 (EFLM480BL) (960Kv)
Propeller: Master Airscrew 9 X 7 X 3
ESC: STOCK E-Flite 30-AMP (V2) ESC
Spinner: Dubro 3-Blade Spinner - Black
Batteries : GEN ACES 3-Cell, 1800mAH, 30C Lithium Polymer Packs
Retracts: Recommended E-Flite Retracts

The changes they made

Starting with the new ecu......

- GSU connects via a servo cable, no longer the large dateline cable used on all the dinosaur systems.
- Smaller, lighter, much more processing power.
- Due to more processing power, lower idle RPM, faster accel/decel is capable due to higher RPM accuracy.
- Single cable from ECU to engine (seperate valve and pump cables).
- More adjustable parameters including preset accel/decel curves all custom to every engine built for maximum performance.

Now the engine........

- Starting with a brand new Billet CNC compressor adding more power and efficiency. Thrust=3.8kg! With a weight penalty of <5grams.
- Single cable braided into a special connector used for the new ECU.
- Redesigned combustion chamber, exhaust/thrust nozzle, center cone, stronger welds.
- Micro JST added to starter motor wires from factory to aid in removing and installing fod screen.

I got to maiden Jack Ws new Eflite Extra at Odessa Fl after a WPMPA club meeting. The 300 is popular with at least 3 other club members in our 100 member club. I know that some aluminum motor mounts have caused vibration and have failed leading to replacement. The music wire landing gear can get bent and I have retrofitted the 300 with a Dubro 40-60 nylon gear legs. This gear does not break or bend and can be screwed or bolted further forward to reduce nose over damage while moving on the surface. most likely Horizon will discontinue the 300 and fix the design adding a 637T for telemetry. Cost will increase but it will be worth it in my opinion.

Jack wanted to preserve the nice fragile stock prop from such nose over damage so replaced it with an APC plastic 13/6.5 prop. On run up on a 4S she caused severe vibration. The factory spinner was removed and this helped but the prop was removed and rebalanced. This still caused vibration. Luckily Manny came to Jacks aid with a brand new 13/4 APC still in the package. The bore was reamed out enough to easily clear the shaft adapter and the largest plastic ring was pressed into place. This took away all vibration (no balancing required using the ring) however when the nice looking plastic backplate and spinner was added the vibration returned. So the maiden was completed with out the spinner and backplate. Jacks Wattmeter measured 45 A , 670 W on a 3600 4S Venom and 31 A 334 W on a Venom 3200 3 S. We got 8 min of...Continue Reading
