She now has her face on and some reworks to her face. Some more exotic lines.

With that, a new name, "Sophia". Maybe just me but now she looks like a Sophia.

Thanks to Lufo for pointing out the sheen on the skin was a bit too shiney, I reworked for less sheen on the skin.

Does look much better Lufo. Appreciate your thoughts.

Everyone needs a break. Not doing anymore and sitting down.

Lucky for us

Can now move on to the rest

Full sun movie set i think. And my Panthera in the background. Plenty of space to taxi around the set.

Big thanks to Nagas for pushing me

Having fun now that i'm getting results.

Interested to hear what others think about the realism.

Spent most of my Christmas interviewing new Pilots to replace Pilot Gwen.

Someone had to do it

This is Pilot Beth. Not sure if i've seen too many renders but at the moment this is looking pretty real to me. For a hobby

Let's see how she dances.

Thinking an outdoor pool background with the Panthera Plane next to it. If I owned one of those beauties i'd definately park it next to my pool

Ok, next is the animation and camera animations.

Spent ages trying to get her more realistic but to no avail.

I was using skins and settings from a few years back so kind of like polishing a t*#d.

So i've started from scratch using the latest and gratest. A lot more options now too

Still more to do but this is getting there far quicker than the old model.

RIP Pilot Gwen

At least she'll be imortalised in the original video

The first image was one of the first renders. Needed some happy pills.

The second image was after i removed all the red M&M's from her lolly tray in her trailer Models lol

And the last is what i think was about the best i could get from good old Pilot Gwen.

Onward and Upward

Thanks to Lufo for pointing out some things that made me think, it's better but so many settings to go through and test. I think i'll have to call this one as "the best I can do" i think

Reworked her skin, settings in the renderer for translucency in the skin, sub surface scattering to name a few.

After adding depth of field and redoing the animation i think i now need to make the plane look more real

What's that? did I hear someone say "What! there's a plane in there"

Really trying to push the envelope here.

I can't quite get her face to look as real as the skin on her hands.

If anyone has any tips, please

Will keep trying as I feel i'm not too far away

Making the Scene a bit more interesting. Glossy floors.

To do:

Remove shine from tyres. (not good for cross wind landings on a wet runway)
Fix normals on rear retract covers. (was fine in blender render but Daz Studio picks up everything)
Make the glass transparent to see the seats inside.

This was 16 minutes to 87% so a vast improvement on render times.

I think i'll render a few before posting again rather than 1 per post

I appreciate the comments.

Onto adding Camera Focus.

And my fav Pipistrel Panthera in the background. See it better once i have the focuse settings correct.

I think she's getting bored of standing in the one place for long periods of time

or that's a look of contemp?

A very complex involved process but i think the end result is going to be great and will certainly feature my favorite plane

An idea of the direction i'll be taking this music video.

The Jet just needs a coat of paint.

Hands up who didn't notice the Jet in the background

Well obviously Pilot Gwen didn't as she has both hands up. Much to our delight

Messing around with hair animations so she needs a stylist at the moment

Not sure if any of you know but in the 3D space, there are literally trillions of settings so comes a time when you have to say................... that's it.

Must admit i'm pretty happy with this and it only took 56 minutes to render 1 frame. So I estimate that the video at 25 frames per second i'm looking at around a day of rendering for 1 second of video. 60 days per minute and my songs are around 3.30 minutes so ............... 210 days for a 3.30 minute video. Best i invest in electricity stocks

Pilot Gwen does look pretty good though. will also be adding my Pipistrel Panthera Plane i built for the Phoenix Simulator as well so that will blow the 210 days out no doubt lol.

Please if anyone can give me some hints with some quicker rendering with Daz Studio and iRay, please let me know if i can knock a couple of days of this adventure

Getting there on a more realistic lighting. Her skin is looking more real. 80% rendering time in 13 minutes for 1 frame.

"Are we there yet?" .......... not quite! I want the skin on the face to look as real as the right hand.

In my opinion this is what all pilots should wear.

Correction!

Female pilots, I don't look good in red I would certainly fly business class a lot more

I notice that people are looking but no one's commenting. Great to get some feedback.

Almost ready to start a full test render. Probably take around a day.

Messing with lighting and such. New hair that i want to move with the dance as well. Fingers crossed.

Will add something to make it to do with RC

Note: her top only came in a small size so the camera is up a bit

Still some more light blending needed but our pilot is sporting a new uniform and some new moves big chears from the back row.

Ok this is my Phoenix Female Pilot doing a bit of a belly dance to a tune I remixed. This was version 1 which took a day to render but Nagas has motivated me to make it more realistic so now we're talking over a week. That includes some rc flying time too
Daz3D Studio Belly Dance Animation (Drew Brown Remix) (3 min 41 sec)

For those who may remember, when I was building models for the Phoenix Simulator on RickP's thread, I always added a female Pilot.

Here's a more realistic rendering of her. Need to redo the video i did with this setting. will take about a week to render

Better late than never. Thanks to Nagas for pointing this out.

I use to contribute 3D models to the Phoenix thread on here and here's a render of the best of what I produced during that time.

Now that I know I have this will have to add more later.
