It's taken quite some time to develop, but it's getting close to being finally done. The thing was actually complete only a year ago, but it's been destroyed twice.
Some people don't believe it's possible and others think it's just a joke.

It's not what you think it is!

I decided to take on the task to create a series of videos on my Funder & Lightning design. It has taken a lot of time, added a great deal of stress, and made me wonder what they hell I was thinking. But, I finally finished the last video today and I feel relieved & satisfied to have completed everything I set out to do.

RCG Funder & Lighting thread: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...nder-Lightning

Here they are. I hope they were worth the effort. Comments welcome.

Flying twice in one week? Unheard of for me. But, just after flying on Wednesday, Poh suggested we go flying on Saturday. Actually, some F&F. That’s “Flying and Fishing”. So Saturday morning I drove South to the Normandy for some slope flying. I found Poh already fishing below the dam on the spillway. He had no bites. So we headed to the top of the dam for the real fun.
We parked just off to the side of the dam top. Don’t want to park and block the top access gate. Sure way to get into trouble. Since it was the first time I’d flown on a weekend (holiday weeked actually), I was surprised at the quantity of people on and around the dam. There were boaters launching, fisherman at the dock and spillway, joggers on top of the dam, and families launching kites.
Poh brought his HK Ridge Rider and his Radian. I brought my Gillette, Twist, Zulu and ASK-21.
Predictions were for 10mph out of the South, which is great for the site. In actuality it turned out to be more like 12-15mph with 25mph gusts. Plenty of lift, a bit turbulent in places. We both flew all our planes. I flew my Multiplex Twist long enough to spin it in due to low battery (no real damage, just cracked wing rod).
We stopped at about 3PM with a slight wind/sunburn and no fish. We packed everything up and headed up to Belle Buckle for a late lunch.

It was a great F&F day

I have been flying airplanes since 2010 when my father-in-law found some guy selling a full trainer setup. I flew regularly until 2012 when my father in law passed away suddenly from a heart attack. Stayed away from the hobby for 3 years because it was something me and him did together and just lost interest completely due to my loss. He was like a second father to me, He was into fast cars, RC planes, slot cars and he had so much technical know how that I really looked up to. When he passed away not only did he leave behind his kid's but he left behind his first and only granddaughter who was only 4 months old and she never really had a chance to interact with him. Anyway fast foward to Christmas 2015 and my wife bought me a Syma X8c a total toy but it opened my eyes to quadcopters and after a little research I found how guys were flying FPV and instantly I had to build one. So by March of 2016 I built myself a ZMR250 pretty entry level with DYS1806 motors Naze32 FC on 3s. Bought some cheap Banggood FPV goggles and started flying. I mainly flew in horizon mode but really started to enjoy the rush and feeling like your flying. My FPV goggles were junk so I decided to get some Fatshark goggles even splurged and built 2 more drones a MRM250 and also my fav Sigan210 V2. I just started flying manuel mode about 2 months ago but I am catching on real quick performing power loops, flips and rolls. Next up is to get some racing gates for some agility testing.

During the past few years, drone racing has quickly gone from a hobby to a lucrative profession. You can now find televised drone races on high-profile networks like ESPN and Sky Sports, while organizations like the Drone Racing League (DRL) have become highly respected. With that added legitimacy comes much larger purses for the competitors.

What's up guys, this is my review of the Mobius Mini Lens B 135° fov hd camera with some added fpv footage. I just received my RunCam 3 today, and will be doing a head to head comparison in the future of the two similar, budget hd camera's that have more in common in terms of price, features, and performance than something like the GoPro Hero 5 session. Please like, subscribe, and comment, and thanks for watching.

I am pleased to announced that the Tarantula Hawk 2M Sailplane kit is finally ready. It features the AG35-36-37-38 airfoils same as the Allegro Lite. It has been redesigned for an easy build. It also has a nice tapered boom, with a tail section and pod that are also easy to build and look very nice (IMO).

The I-Beam spar uses 1/16" x 3/8" basswood caps with a balsa core and 1/16" shear webs. For electric and bungy its strong. If you want to launch it with an aggressive winch you can add CF and sand down the bass very easily.

The electric version was designed to fit a rear mount Turnigy SK3 2830 or 2826 motor using the 16mm/19mm bolt hole circles in the mount. The rear mount makes it possible to obtain a nicely shaped nose. My intention was to provide something that will accept a high quality low cost motor and I have found these work great.

The line launch version uses a pod that is 1.5" longer for balance. It includes a sliding tow hook and mount which you form from a 4-40 threaded rod.

The recently built electric version has an all up weight of 19.5ounces. The line launch is 16.75 ounces all up balanced. The servos, and battery are factors in the final weight.

There is a build thread that shows the progress of getting through the first build and to the current design. The kit includes a 36" x 48" build plan, and written instructions in English.

https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...la-Hawk-2M-RES

I believe I can make about 10 kits a month as I do this in my spare time. The kit price is $179 plus shipping.

Almost every part in the kit is laser cut. The bass spar cap is not laser cut because the center section is too long for laser.

If you have interest you can message me or send an email to [email protected].

renovation (another !!!) for no.1 xk k110
Its been on the repair shelf .....loss of no.2 puts it back in the air ( nervous to risk a new bnf on early 3d attempts )
Repairs to frame ,new servos, new carbon shaft and bearings ( wow the old bearings were so graunchy!!). Cleaned up the canopy an re-taped the cracks.,120 tail blade , CA glue and tape on tailshaft,.. used 977 blades till i get it settled , half hour making sure swash was level without tx on and then with tx on , ...pitch level at midstick
And crucially injected new life into the heli...well syringe to apply synthetic lube. 😁Now lets try a little 3🙃😨🙃😬🙃😰D
