I was actually going for a dummy even but this one actually works.

Love this thing. Really want to fabricate a spot light for it but I can't figure out how to pull it off. Short of a 3D print job I guess I could make one out of balsa.

All repaired and ready to go. Such a shame it was nagging at me from the corner. It took several months to get the parts and reminds me what I love about crawlers and hate about planes.

Axial speed controller uses deans which negates the freebie light kit. but it's smooth as butter at low speeds and the brake is the shizznizzle.

This is cool, this flying club I found has these adjustable metal disks / paddles that block the sun when you're flying. Lenny the president greeted me and I mentioned the challenges of my work/play schedules, and he just kept coming up with solutions. You could tell he really wanted me to become a member, which was very heartening in contrast to the good-old-boys take-it-or-leave attitude of some other flying clubs. I can't sign up fast enough.
