Hi there people

Marketed very much as a LOW light camera....

Link to it: Foxeer micro Cat 3 -low light FPV cam

Howdy people

I've been very busy building several quads with the new Foxeer Auro frame.. Great frame though I must admit it does look a bit dull :P
The stack I selected for the build is NOT dull however

The esc: Foxeer Reaper 60A 96khz ESC

the FC: Foxeer F722 v2 Pro Flight Controller

I don't think Foxeer is really known for their stack components so always interesting to have a look at / try out

Halloa people

first: have a good weekend over there! Hope you are all safe & well...

This entry is a second post about this 'Aura 5' build.. Which might seem like just another FPV drone build project at first glance...
BUT.. it is not

First: this FPV quad will be 8S capable.. But also: I'm building this one to be useable in the evening / low light

So.. what parts did I pick for this project:

Halloa FPV people,

you might have come across 2 new quad frames from Foxeer and those are actually their first frames More then enough reason to check them out I say
You will also have noticed Foxeer is ramping up their electronics game! (ESC's / FC's / VTX's) So for this build I decided to make it as much of a "Foxeer build" as I could

Not only that: I had not tried Foxeer's evening / night camera's.. Why not try those as well

But... Let's first have a look at their new Freestyle frame.. The Aura...

Halloa people

yes.. I am a little late to the show.. That's what you get when you buy things yourself :P
But maybe you had not ran into this new radio from TBS...

So.. around the middle of 2020 TBS released their new 2.4 Ghz "Tracer" RC control system, and marketed it mostly for it being a Shoer Latency system.. At the time I personally passed as I was happy with my 2.4Ghz radio... The Mambo radio did however interest me.. Not to big.. not to small.. should be easy to transport AND possibly usable for airplanes...

And.. here is my first look at the radio

Halloa (FPV) people

Halloa people,

a couple of months ago I got this ET16S radio sent to me by Wfly.. I had come across Wfly but was mostly unfamiliar with the brand otherwise..
The first thing I wordered was: do we need another radio-brand? Competition is good most times for both ends of the stick, but if they make crappy products I'd rather see them quickly leave again

Soooo I have tested the radio for a while and in the video below I'll give you my findings
Don't hesitate to add your own experiences with the radio / brand c.q. questions you might have!

Halloa RC people

as many of you will know I like building quads, and just as you might do: when I find components that WORK I keep using them for new builds..
This time however I wanted to try electronics from Foxeer.. Partly because it could be more interesting for You as well...

In this case it's the well known Predator v5 but I am using a VTX I've never used: the TBS Unify Pro32 nano....

Halloa people,

I didn't see a topic about this RGT car yet so here it is now :P
Recently ordered me this 1/10th scale scaler / crawler and with that my first RGT car..

I'll be posting a couple of video's on the car but feel free to add your own experiences or questions!

First of all: what kind of car is this? It is somewhere inbetween a scaler & crawler.. Had it had a 100% lexane body I'd say it leans more towards a crawler but as a lot of modern lexane bodies cars in this segment, the body has a good nr of scale additions:
+ plastick molded grille
+ extra roof "slab" plus a roof-rack
+ mirrors + wipers + snorkel + spare wheel mount

But then it also doesn't have transparant windows.. This is more a reflection of it's price-point (?)
Speaking off: pretty affordable for what you get IMHO...

First video then.. mostly an unboxing + first impressions..

RGT 136100V3 Rock Cruiser - Value for $$?$ - Show & Tell (37 min 1 sec)

Specifications:
type: scaler / crawler
scale: 1/10
drive train: 4x4 1-speed
wheelbase: 255 mm
wet weight: 1.98 Kg
motor: 390 size brushed
ESC: HobbyWing 40A integrated with receiver
servo: 6 KG
diffs: locked front & back
wheel adapters: 12mm hax
speed: 10 km/h ? (slow :P)
run time: several hours
battery: 1500 mah 2S
radio: Flysky FS-G4P 2.4Ghz 4 channel
radio batteries: 4x AA (not supplied)
charger: yes.. basic
lighting: yes and remotely controllable

Howdy poeple

I recently noticed Foxeer's new Reaper ESC's which is a 20x20 4-in-1 and that is nothing new ofcourse
But.. this is one 8S capable (or so they say :P) ... Very exciting and interesting! More then enough reason for a new build!

Comoing across these new ESC's coiincided with Rotorama releasing a new 5" racing frame If you follow my channel, you probably know I often use their frames.. Sooo done deal! This will be a 5" 8S racer build

Halloa RC people

not so much a review video this time.. This is more-less a vlog of me testing several things.. I am in the process of testing:
+ Orqa FPV.One FPV Goggle
+ Wfly ET16S radio
+ ZOHD Drift airplane

And I guess I'm also still in the process of trying the Gopro 9 (this is my second video recorded with the cam)

Soooo some things worked out great.. some not so much

Halloa people

first video on an (for most) unknown radio / radio-brand and I've combined it's maiden with a first plane of the ZOHD Drift...
The Drift isn't a new-new plane ofcourse.. it IS new to me though :P

Soooo a Wfly ET16S radio.. Ever heard of the brand?
Also: it was sent to me for free.. Just so you know...

Let's at least see if the plane + radio combo results in a flight

New Radio + New Plane + New Camera ! :O What could go wrong :P (14 min 17 sec)

Halloa people

so yes.. We have ourselves a brand new sub 1-meter flying wing, and it is again aimed at FPV flying..
This time however from a company you had not seen fixed wing RC's from In fact: if you only fly airplanes, you might not even know the Diatone brand...

Link to it: Diatone Ripper R690 kit (at Banggood)

So is it any good / wurth considering? IF you are into wings (eighter for LOS flying or FPV) I think it could be.. so far it looks well made BUT I have not assembled, let alone flown it..

A first look at it:
