Got involved in RC in 2009...what a great hobby! In early 2009 I was recovering from a knee injury and was looking for something to do during my convalesence. On a whim, stopped into the local RC shop where they had a Real Flight simulator set up for customers to try. Walked out wih my own Real Flight and never looked back!
I was lucky to get interested at a time when really great stuff was happening in electric RC flight and although I got my wings from one of the local clubs in late 2009 on a glow powered model, electrics are my thing. I belong to three local clubs.
There are so many ways to enjoy this hobby but my passion lies with scale or at least semi-scale models...from scratch built micros to 90mm EDF's. Building is a big part of the appeal for me, especially since it often allows me to fly something a bit more unique than massed produced ARFs or RTFs. Recently I've gotten interested in float flying which is whole new way to enjoy RC!
