Attaching Basswood Stiffener

Take length of blue tape and lay it out flat on your glass sticky side up.

Lay the TE of that Tri Stock half way on leaving half of facing up sticky side tape exposed.

Press/rub the TE on to the tape firmly.

Take your 1/4" wide by 1/16" high basswood stiffener and place it on the tape flat and up snug to the balsa TE.

Rub this with a paper towel making the underneath tape adhere well to the bottom of the balsa Aileron stock and basswood stiffener.

Tape a piece of wax paper to your glass the length or better of your aileron to be.

Pick the aileron unit up and bend back the stiffener and lay a very narrow bead of medium to thick CA on the bow exposed basswood edge.

Then close her up by laying her back down on your piece of glass flat then spray a quick shot of kicker down the gap line and then rub flat with a paper towel.

You are done .

You can run tape on the balsa to protect it some when sanding the basswood bring it down to match the taper of the balsa TE

You will do the same process of using this "tape clamp" method to attack this TE to the TE of the wing core but using 5 or 15 minute epoxy instead of CA
.
I use lifting weights to hold down the TE if it is the longer wait time epoxy otherwise 5minute epoxy you can hold yourself in a hand clamp till it kicks
