I would like to share the path which i have chosen to take with my X5 and hopefully pass along some of the knowledge with others...Alot of it you may have seen before on a video or a thread or some other sites but i wanted to share my thoughts and show how i am approaching this personally.

Ive seen all the videos and threads of this mod and that mod and some of them are actually good mods and some not so much.

The one mod i typically see is people going with a heavy battery to gain flight time and possibly more power...I suppose this is ok to do but, in reality it is not the best method of improving the X5 performance...For one, the added weight not only places even more stress on the motors and mosfets but, you are also adding unwanted weight to your already weight challenged quadcopter...The X5 weighs just over 100 grams...If we compare this to quadcopters of yesterday ,its about 35 to 40% heavier than previous models with really no more added power...Consider your X5 model an older syma X1 with a different look and a 6 axis gyro with improvments instead of the 3 axis of yesterdays X1.

What i am proposing is for you to think the opposite of adding weight and start removing it.

We have all seen the videos showing to take off the prop guards and landing skids and even the camera as well as even the battery door to be able to see a decent improvement in performance and flight time...So, what would you say to having an X5 WITH a camera...Continue Reading

Just recently started back here on RCGroups and ,wanted to share my first ever hybrid build, utilizing some of the older parts from a few years back.

Having researched all i could back then and wanting to keep it as less costly as possible, this is what i came up with for the build.

Vitality H36 frame
Vitality H36 FCB (flysky protocol)
UDI U816 Motor booms and 7mm motors.
mini pet props
mini pet beetle canopy
Optional MJX 100 ufo canopy
UDI 250mah batteries.

Just recently, after a long pause, i decided to finally assemble this little quad.

Here are some pics of the assembly..Total weight is with the udi battery installed...i cant find my precision scale so ,weight is not precise,... it weighs in at 33 grams with the mini pet canopy installed and trips the 34g mark with MJX canopy installed so, the 33 grams is on the higher end of the 33 gram scale.

Well; i was curious and read about this model and watched many youtube videos
and decided on wanting to get my hands on a V911 and have some fun. My first
heli was a Blade CX Scout and it was fun at first but im after more.

Considering the cost and ease of mods i chose the V911 as my next adventure..My eyes were set on the Xieda 9958 till i saw the V911 reviews in various places. Anyway; this blog will be dedicated to the WL toys V911 ive purchased from Banggood.com

One is a RTF version and the other will be a BNF version (Red/white-Blue/white)

Ive seen alot of inspiration from other blogs and threads and have chosen the path on which the V911 will endure..Im still awaiting my order of helis and parts.

My first order consists of a V911 RTF (Red/White- new battery version)
Spare blades (x5)
Spare flybars(x4)
Spare tail blades(x2)
spare landing skid (x1)
200mAH batteries (x2)

I will be visiting the local hobby shop and hardware store to purchase some items needed for the build as well.

I still have much to order ..so please bare with me.

My RTF and spare parts have made it to its destination..will post some pics as soon as i can...I have the spare parts but have to pick up the heli from local post office.


Ok..I picked up my heli and all looked good...but a few of the screws throughout were not fully tightened.
