I'm covering the Brigidier with orange Cover Lite and will seal it with dope after assembly. The hinges will be sewn as soon as I find that spool of orange thread...

I've also finished up the firewall to make my earlier work less noticeable.

The placement of the engine screws in the firewall on the plan tell me that this airplane was intended for an 049 with a fuel tank on it, rather than the throttled 049 with a fuel tank behind the firewall as I intend to use. Such an arrangement places the thrust line about 1/4" below the location I had it so I've removed the blind nuts in the firewall, plugged the holes, and continued the cutout for the throttle down the face of the firewall 1/4". I replaced the sheeting between the cabin and the firewall too, seeing it needed a different cutout due to the new location of the throttle arm. One step forward...two steps back...

Finishing the cabin section of the Brigidier.

Next, I'll sort out the fuel tank and radio placement, making sure I have ample access to both before attaching the landing gear.

More building on the 1/2 A Brigidier. I modified the top sheet behind the firewall to accommodate a throttled 0.49.

I've started work on a 1/2A Brigidier as drawn by Jim Reynolds. The tail went together quickly and I've just about completed the left and right sides of the fuselage, shown here with the right side pinned the building board and the left side resting on top of it.
