gotta get rid of this
Posted by birdie_in_texas | Jan 16, 2015 @ 03:56 PM | 30,021 Views

After 10 days in limbo, I got my AWESOME G202 (Spaz design!) in the mail from Value Hobby. Poor Alex had to put up with me ranting about the mail, but it is my fault for going USPS and not better carrier..

USPS tried their best to destroy it, but the plane seems fine! The gaping holes in the box allowed my servos I ordered to make an escape but at least the EPP parts are good to go..

I will never cheap-out again. From now on, UPS only. Lot better track record than USPS it seems..

Got me one of the Adams piston"blemished" AR's from Buds..sent them a never fired bolt-action .223 as a partial trade, now **W00T!!!** New AR day!
And if there is a "blemish" on this thing, then I cannot find it!

There seems to me a learning curve to a piston gun as it is "different" yet much the same..for example, you have to dig all over the damn internet to find some quad rails that actually fit the silly thing! But Amazon to the rescue! $65 and they should be here this week!

The to mount my bipod and it is mostly finished!

I do not really hunt..but going to blast some nuisance pigs (which we have a gazillion around here) is fine. in my book. I am told the guys locally will donate the meat if we clean it and take it to a local butcher, so that is cool and you get to take out all your manly aggression and blast the heck outta stuff! hahahaha

I look forward to getting this zero'ed at a range and then maybe get out soon to blast some piggies!

I am at it again!! Instead of trying to get better with my130x, I got me a new AWESOME guitar amp!

A Mesa Boogie Mini-Rectifier!!!

After a long time of not playing much, I have recently gotten the bug to play again, maybe even find a band to jam in some, so I have been looking for something REALLY cheap that sounds "good" and I think I have stumbled across something pretty awesome!

I cannot afford an awesome tube amp, so I have been looking for an amp that is affordable but has great tube-like tones, and this one has it in spades!

Blackstar ID:60

It is all digital, which lots of "tone snobs" will scoff at, but it emulates power amp sections of the worlds leading tube amps and lets you pick different types of output tubes, which of course gives you differences in tone. Plus it has lots of neat tricks, and a really good PC interface for creating and having presets and letting you try others presets that they have posted.

If any of you are looking for something like this, I highly recommend it. It dos everything from shimmering "Fender" chimey-ness cleans to downright scary metal stuff.

after many "tough" flights, the ExtremeFlight Edge 540 slab is once again re-incarnated and ready for flight duty..!

it has been broke in half i think 5 times now..it might be 6..has had at different times, a YS53, a YS63, and YS63fz, a Saito 72, and now, since the latest round of repairs and weighing in at over 6-1/2 lbs, a Saito .91 with a 15x4W mounted up and ready to go..!!

that freakin prop is lookin' mighty big on there..!!! I LOVE IT...am gonna try and get 'er back in da air this weekend..!

what none of the pics show, is that in my "fixins" on the plane, once or twice i might have forgot to check how straight things are, and it now has about a 20degree "hook" in the fuse behind the "canopy" section.it has been crooked for a while, and flies even better than it used to..!

i cannot recommend this plane enough..it has been the absolute hands-down winner for toughness for anything i have ever destroyed/flown..!

Chris has them in stock now at http://www.extremeflightrc.com and they are worth their weight in GOLD..!!
