Hi,

I would like to present an new product for your viewing pleasure. It is joint project with my 18yrs. daughter, Annie and me. Together we designed and built prototype for 1/3 Deck Chair suitable for scale glider pilots relaxing after long flights.

It has been flight-tested using AH Pilots 1/3 pilots, they seem to like it. Although that red-shirt-guy seems as grim as always. He is tough guy to please. Just see pics below..

Chair kit is quite complete, includes everything to get it up and running. You provide only screwdriver and glue. No cutting or drilling needed. It even has instructions. Fabric part and packaging are done by Annie.

As I want to teach Annie ways of life I am directing all the proceedings of this product to her holiday fund. So this is an product which is in some strange way socially conscious. The idea is to show that if you do something, there is an possibility of getting something.

Interested? Do not wait any longer, just direct Your browser to here and enjoy our superfast delivery times.

Well,

I guess that finetuning devprof- & devfus-stages of PIK-12 are done. It's time to move from CAE to CAD. Whewww! That was task. In particular, the inner wing panels which have negative arrow-form contained 15 spars (or hollows, not including lightening holes). That's plenty.

Done are:
1. Fuz design in devfus
2. Wing panels inner & outer in devprof, including aileron design
3. Rudd design in devprof
4. Elev design in devprof

I have already done most of fuz formers, tailpost, rudder & elevator design in CAD, but finalizing fuz-wing-attachement-points required finalizing wing design.

From this on it's only 'clickety-clack' of mouse & checking & checking & checking. No design anymore. Just implementing drawings (7 in total)

This is monster plane, 5m span, fuz height is 0,45m, rudd ws is 1,2m. Typical wing thickness is 55mm.

Finalizing 3d-cadding of my next bigger project. 5m PIK-12 'Gabriel'. This has waited too long time, now it's time to get hands dirty.

Managed to make rather good video. I guess that it is best inflight-video I have ever managed to edit. Video tech done by HSK who is much better than me in that side.

Music was surprisingly good also. Actually it was youtube-automatic-proposed music, but it suits video rather well. Crank volume to high.

Hi,

Plans of Harakka II (see previous blog posts or build log here) are available for everyone, for free download. It costs nothing. (or - to be specific, if you manage to build something then pls. send me an photo of your creation).

Plans also include PDF-version of parts templates. So you can use professional cutting services, if you feel that you are not up to task of cutting ribs etc. I can also arrange cutting services, if needed, but it will cost you.

Plans should be ready for printing services, but after all this cad-wrestling there is an possibility of error. So double check scale markings at printshop.

Website address for download is http://www.iwaru.fi/harakka.html. pls. do not replicate plans to other websites as I want to keep possible updates in one place.

Enjoy,
