Used to be that if a built-up wing got warped over winter I'd just tune em up with a heat gun, rubber bands and some straight sticks. But now with carbon capped ribs and trailing edges the process gets more complicated.
I noted a few posts here about warps and wavy T.E.s, I decided to try to clamp sticks along top and bottom of the edges for storage. This seemed rather fussy so I decided to make some simple jig to hold the T.E. straight and true.
Using some 3/4" scraps from a trim project I ripped them down to about 1/2" sq. strips and using a narrow finish blade I put a single saw kerf down the length. I cut these strips to length and slipped them onto the wings - held in place with rubber bands (not too tight).
The result is a light and tight clamping system that I can use whenever I'm not flying the plane.

I needed a good flexible stand to hold my Supra while sorting through the set-up and I had a sturdy studio tripod so I scrounged around in my scrap box and came up with this design. Thought it might be helpful to others.
