Getting Tuned In/Fpv Freestyle (3 min 46 sec)

Posted by rcduder | Feb 22, 2018 @ 03:37 PM | 4,995 Views
Hi guys! Has been awhile since I posted but im going to make it a goal too start posting weekly for you. It has not been from lack of fpv but more so putting more time into my builds and tuning them. I had been flying a build that had nothing too be desired and it was time for a change. I decided too build up a couple new 5 inch quads for my 2018 flying season and add a new gopro as well for much higher quality footage. The build list here:

-Martian 2 5 inch frame
-Raceday Quads/Josh Bardwell f4 flight controller
-Spedix 25a d shot escs
-Raceday Quads 2205 2450kv motors
-Racekraft 5040 tri blades
-xm+ receiver
-akk x1 vtx with aomway cloverleaf
-Rotor Riot Swift 2 camera
-Gopro session with 3d printed mount

Overall flying this new build really opened my eyes too what a good build should feel like vs a low quality build. Even with a good tune sometimes a bad build is just gonna fly bad, although I know some people have good luck with cheaper products, its just not for me so I went with quality.

I also made sure to post a raw clip for you guys on the channel so you can truly see what I see here:

New Build+New gopro Raw clip #1 (2 min 56 sec)

The stick feel is amazing and it made my skill level feel as if everything I was doing was easy compared too before. Let me know what you think!!

Hey guys, two posts in one day too make up for not posting for awhile I promise ive been working on some new stuff, including my rebuilt tiny whoop. The whole build list and parts links are in the description of the video. I previously had the v1 beta65s frame/7x16mm motors kit and I immediately switched from the 6x15mm due to the increase in efficiency and torque. Before I also ran a eachine beecore v1 fc and it had many problems including random drop outs but i know others have had luck with it. It was time for an upgrade so I decided on the betafpv long range f3 flight controller. Its a rock solid fc and it flies amazing as well as having telemetry setup right out of the package(for frsky). Hope you guys enjoy!! I will post some new pictures tomorrow so stay updated.

Beta65s/Tiny Whoop Outdoor Flights (4 min 11 sec)

Please check out my latest edit from my tiny whoop with recently changing to the Betafpv Beta65s frame and 7x16mm motors kit it is a whole new beast and its safe to say I'm not going back to the standard 6x15mm. If you race, the required motor size is 6x15mm in almost all tiny whoop racing leagues I believe but I do not race so keep that in mind. The torque difference is very noticeable and has the ability to catch itself much better after flips/rolls, I wouldnt say the top end speed is that much different though from a 6x15mm setup. Please check out my latest edit of it here:

7x16mm Tiny Whoop Fun (3 min 7 sec)

-The full setup is in the description of the video, minus the props I did use the king kong 3 blade props which are the exact same prop as far as I can tell that comes with the kit.

Hey their guys! As the title says, i lost my runcam 2 at the sumner meadows golf course. It is one of my favorite local spots and I hope some others who read my blog might fly their as well! I lost it over in the back corner by the group of trees next to the red bridge. It is a grey runcam 2 with electrical tape and a 32gig lexar sd card. If anyone finds it or sees anything about one that was found at the location please let me know I would love to get my camera and my footage back thank you guys!!! Happy flying!!!! It is the same one I have on my chameleon in this picture:

Hey guys, built up a new frame as I found I could never get my martian 3 consistent in flight due to the cheap hardware. So I decided to go with a local company and bought the quadrysteria rush 5" frame! Paired with the emax rs2205s motors and the Racekraft 5045 tri blades it is a beast! Fc, escs, rx and camera are the same as the previous build. Thanks for looking! Check out the first flight with it here:

Just bought a gopro session so had to go to my spot down the road and try it out. Makes the quad feel better in the air over the hero 4 silver, not as heavy and less drag threw the air. Overall I feel my flying is progressing! Check it out!! Please like and share if you think others might enjoy it as well!! Thanks for reading guys!

Since I know some of you may be curious, here is my setup! You can check out how she performs on my channel!! PNWFPV!!

Frame: martian 3
Flight controller: betaflight f3 running 3.1.6
Esc's: emax 30a bullet running dshot300
Motors: cobra champion 2205 2350kv
Fpv camera: foxeer hs1177 with 2.5mm lense
Hd cam: gopro hero 4 with lense protector
Vtx: akk switchable 25/200/600
Receiver: spektrum 4649t serial telemetry
Batteries: tattu 4s 1300mah mix of 45 and 75c

Now I've been testing a few different props and havent decided what I like best just yet but have been using:

Racekraft 5040 tri blades
Racekraft 5051 tri blades
Lumineir butter cutters 5050 tri blades

My radio and goggles are pretty standard nothing special I use a spektrum dx6e and fatshark dominator v3s with standard fatshark non diversity module.

Overall I really like this setup so far. I feel it needs a little more top end some times but a lot of the time I'm not using more then 60-70% throttle for what I like to do so I cant complain to much. The all up weight is something I need to weigh out exactly as well but it flies very light and agile so hasnt concerned me much, there is a few things in the martian 3 kit I dont use as well because I felt it was not necessary for the build so it may be a little lighter then the usual martian 3. So far the martian 3 has been the frame for me, I can get it overnight at no extra cost and so far in the few months I have been flying it I have only replaced an arm and a stand off, compared to some of the frames out right now I can buy 3 of these kits and have plenty of spares for the price of a pro frame, and it flies great for me and very easy to tune.

Thanks for reading guys! Check in for more posts and more videos on my channel! Will be posting at least once a week if not more!!
