So very much has changed since late 2010. I did wind up rejoining my old club Pekin R/C Club http://www.pekinrc.com
Sold my armor and invested that in planes, as well as swap meets, doing computer work for people that have planes, and getting lots of help from the local members.
As far as the club goes I am now the webmaster and public relations officer and we have a great group of people. Hermon Lowery (out founder back in the late 60’s) a former WWII aircrew member and engineer is still active. The man is 92 or 93 now and still the smoothest r/c pilot I have ever seen. Not to mention a character to boot and like all the rest of the members a great help.
Currently I have in my humble hangar, 12 planes in various stages of construction/restoration/currently flying. The last two years I didn’t get any stick time in due to other reasons but hoping to make up for that soon.
