Bradley (bsbauman) got his paws on the new UM beast the other day. He ended up maidening it this evening at SMRCF. What a great flying little model! It has enough power for almost any maneuver, and flies very smoothly. I got a chance to take the sticks, and I must say, it's not like any other UM series plane I've flown...the Beast just feels locked in. Solid little bird.

I hooked up with Blake of BShipmanFilms.com, and Clint Esposito and Paul Smith of FMX East out in Douglasville today and shot some photos. I grew up riding dirtbikes and watching Crusty videos, but being up close while these guys jump is amazing.

I hijacked the wife's Kodak EasyShare DX4530 and bolted it to the gimbal on my Gaui 330X-S. Took it out the front door and shot it up to 100 feet or so. Sun was setting but still grabbed a decent pic.
Not too bad from the little 5mp Kodak...

I just wrapped up an in-depth review of the Gaui 330X-S Quadflyer.
https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=1273435

Very fun little aircraft to pilot; it's a nice break from airplanes and heli's...although it flies much like a helicopter. I just picked up a camera gimbal (unfortunately after I was done with the review) but I hope to report on its quality and performance soon.

The goal is to take 30+ clips, submitted by various users, and edit them to create a short video showcasing the GoPro in action. Here is my entry

Heres a few pics of the 330X-S with my new Aero Sky camera mount kit. Went together very easily. The mount tilts up and down only. Right now, its swinging free which is great for shooting video. As the 330X-S pitches the mount stays level. The servo will be added soon for photography purposes.
Test flew it earlier. Very stable with all the weight below the COG.
This little guy will make a good addition to my big AP heli, for tight shoots or any time I dont want to fly the big boy.

The camera is the new Contour 1080HD which by the way is a very nice little HD camera that I think competes w/ the GoPro HD well. it doesnt have still cam or video out capabilities, but seems to match the HD video produced by the GoPro HD.
