I recon, according to the statement "Ya do what you are" and because of the smartest Tech (Jason and Jin) the big goggle can't keep me away!
I guess I'm always gonna be tilted and backwards, and now with a new Ventura, and iMac/ tablet, I'll get to pics and stories later. first things first:
Rejoin AMA
find appropriate parts for the "whose on first" bird. YES! all starts are as they are, all kids survived the 'covid wars'
catch up on previous stories
and
and. and
Tormentyalater Gang!

Thanks to Jim and Jason, I have the most important part of my internet life recovered!
Now this old fart gets to learn how to attach hold in your hand pieces of information to the world of SSD! I'm not sure if that gets a frown or a grin, but it's a grin status now!
More torments to come, as Missy has most of the shots called on the scheduling!

When this Covid thing got all started, I was a tad stunned, and as time moved forward, I had less and less to say. Bill Kubiak had died back in September, internet noise was getting louder and louder, and somewhere between the puppy park and here, I learned I was hiding. I've been cussed out for not flying in the local club ( who are a bunch of propellorheads) mooched on for various 'on the fly' projects, and very frustrated with these foam birds which never go together as 'planned'
Living with a real borderline wife has a lot to do with real flight: 90% boredome with 10% shear panic. Missy gets scared of her outbursts also, and sometimes she walks dad slower than 'normal' (3X a day).
Birdwise, I'm nervous of all this high speed tech that I can't keep up with, and learning these "above my paygrade" technologies.
My biggest frustration with my time spent here, is after 1000's of hours playing CAD, there were either very few requests, or CAD NIGHTMARES
Ask questions- I have answers!

My best friend, Bill Kubiak, had given me his blueprint collection (which didn't get to the fire place) of which I have started scanning, and I'm not to favorable of Office Depot, as there isn't but 1 person who knows what (she) is doing out of 12+ employees! There's nuthin worse than a 36" wide being (reprinted) on a 24" paper! Anyway, send me PM's for requests, as I have lots of space for messages, and all the PDF's are high res, wayyy above the RCG limits! No more werds, just some views! - Ohh yeah- a few of these will be 'reworked' in CAD for the 'foil factor', and a lot of these could be scalable. ...Continue Reading

Howdy Gang! Upon recieving my package from Hyper Flight, I was asked for a survey, so I (finally) pulled out my measuring tools, and "mapped" aSTC Chart, and realized I didn't do the weight- just dimensions Anyway, after a while, I found:
1) extremely consistent dimensions
2)no burrs on the cut ends
3) I can trust Neil Stanton!
anyway, here's a PDF for viewing

RES Dart! so as I have my stress ducks all out of the way,now I get to finish my YellowJacket/ Tarantula, while the dart travels west!
This shall be continued, and of course pictures later!

Hello fellow builders! Missy iz pooped, and I don't wanna play video games, which leaves the best option in between covering and finishing my f3RES' birds is finishing AM (Tony) Beck's laser sets! I have not done any vias yet ( those cutaway thingies that hold parts in sheet form) and as I took screenshots, I see the "other" places where nesting has not been finished.
I am now driving on Version 11 of TurboCAD Mac, ( a Solidworks engine) which is now the 10th build which Tony and the birds have lived through!
I was a bit confused when I learned that Soaring Digest wanted hand drawn plans for their article, as I now have 10 full Gigs of info for these birds!
As I'm completing my story @ " I don't like doing surgery on my birds" in Sailplane talk, I'm getting the 1/32 sheeting boxes planned out CADwise.
The past couple years have been pretty intense for life bein' lived, but finally things are getting "in line"
The one other main thing is this would be an expensive kit, if all the parts are lasered, so Tony and I are figuring out the least expensive way to get these kids flying!
Please give us feedback! I do have files with no vias as now, but I need to nest a set of 4 more of proper material ribs 13-15, which are the polybreak ribs, with 1/16" plywood for the facing ribs being numbers 14.

Well, it's xero degree wind chill, I have 2 more kits in Laser status, and I'm 4 years behind "schedule" After obtaining Missy, I was a tad concerned, as she managed to chew my dihedral braces bag for my (2) Chrysalii 1.5's, but other than that, she would chase the cats around the location of my buildboard from last January! I guess she figured it was part of the furniture, and when she plays "keepaway" from dad, she finds there is no more clear route to escape my grasp! Now that i've heard lots of guys mention I can get a handlaunch built in a weekend, I'm challenging myself to the task! We will have 3 more visits to VAMC next week, so I guess the best way to track is to ignore =somehow- Ace Combat Infinity! I don't mind mentioning doing build logs is a very time consuming item, so I'll just go with "chapter" status, and catch up on lots of the new F3 RES stories coming along now! my first step prep is awaiting glue, so time to "getterdunn"

Let me rewind the 'history' a couple weeks, so an understanding of accumulative stresses can be accounted for a bad day.
As I got a dual print finished for a pal of mine, ( story here)https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...745356&page=84

I mounted Blue and White filaments for a dual extrusion of the model. I then saw a notification for a 'real' printing job via a print site. and getting that underway, I had 2 fails, as I was at the bottom of the filament roll. The site owner told me I had to 'go into town' to replace the filament, as there wasn't anyone else to do the print. during the process, I had one of the worse drives ever, and I found both extruders were ( hopefully just clogged) goofed up. I cancelled my 9$ bill and got some sleep after being awake for 42 some hours. ( my wknd).

During the next week, I was trying to sort which bird would come along to a dual club event, and all exited that I finally got to renewing my AMA membership, started to look into the new 2.4 radio equipments I had attained. I also learned that a particular aircraft would be arriving about a day before the contest. Receiving the Airplane that had taken 19 program builds, 6 crashes and other hassles to get as far as I am, I went to work for my 'Monday' Waking up after 5 hrs of sleep, I tried to sort out the RX equipment in as quick a period of time as my schedule would allow-I had 5 hrs, of which one hr was spent rereading instructions and realizing I was trying to bind the...Continue Reading

After some serious inspections, I find why I had such a 'tilted' look on life!
I have found that there's a speeds/feeds thing goin' on, just like machinin' but 'backwards. I do believe i'm moving forward now, and I found the secret to threads- real ones- not the phony 'looks like a thread' scenario. also copy pasting sends parts to an eternal 'out of view' loacation
serious projects coming now! I'm "in the air" with a twin Canard, am working out the details forthe micro servo plate/prop-motor mounts, and maybe a fuselage for the "Bug"

With the Sailboat shown in the preceding post, Which was purchased at Kremer's Toy and Hobby in Albertville Minn. 55301, And stopping my " so much to do, so little time mode" I realized I needed some specific glass cloths to do my new Canard activations mount, which will be tested on the twin propelated 'Skittereater'. Upon returning from getting the initial paperwerks done for a new job, I had recieved a phone call for said cloths. Then of course, upon during all these ducks getting in a row, students for flight training getting ready for first flights, ( usually without human interruptions) Learning how active Kremer's is involved with supporting the youth of Minnesota and RC Groups mentions (and adds for) the UMX Radian,
we shall return next week with camera in hand, to see where one of the UMX's will reside! As per our conversation today, communications and product listings are growing, and my next special will be a 'spray can' of Butyrates for various finishings! Stay tuned folks! this is just the beginning of a real rich lifestyle! (who needs bucks when you have people like Kremer's Toy and Hobby! ( some toys are even for the "over 21" age group!
