More Ben photo goodness. Also, before I forget, this weekend is the Tangerine Soaring Championships in Orlando (11\27-11\29). Hope to see some of you guys there.

I didn't get a chance to shoot any pictures this last Saturday. I got to the field late and spent the little time I had winching on the SE bowl, while most of the guys sloped the East side. It was very light slope lift, but the thermals were great. Thankfully Ben C got off a few pictures. I've attached them for your viewing pleasure.

I plan on building the coupe electric. I have a 400 watt Hi-Max motor. A nice new Spectrum radio. This should be a great flying plane. CAN'T WAIT TO GET IT DONE!
Here's some pics of my XP-3 based DLG that is for sale at $300. The kevlar/CF pod and boom and competition grade balsa tail feathers are all scratch built (not XP-3). They are in excellent condition without a scratch, well there are a few very minor scuffs on the bottom of the rudder from occasional landing on dirt Only the wing is an XP-3 and was made by Phil Barnes; although it is fairly old and has seen several flying seasons, it is in great shape and has only very minor scuffs and scrapes of hangar rash. It has a hole in the left wing tip (covered over) for a peg for a right-handed thrower and a blade afixed in the right wing tip for a left handed thrower. The rudder servo is a JR241, the elevator is a JR285, and I think the flapperons are either JR241s or JR285s (I don't remember). The RX is a Berg7. The battery is a 300mah NiMh and is in fine shape. The AUW is 10.7ounces. She's very precise and tight and flys great. Plug in your crystal freq, and you're ready to fly. I've just lost my desire to play with DLGs.
Any questions, shoot me a PM

Some planes I've had. There are others. So many stories for each one.
Here is a new video of me flying my T-rex 700N. The music was just playing in the background at the event and not picked by me.
I realized it has been a while since I added any content to my blog here, so I will contribute more regularly moving forward.

Hello all, I have a Himodel 50/40 1200 brushless motor and a Himodel brand Pentium 100 amp brushless speed control. Voltage range is 3-18 volts.
I plan to use this motor on my C.G. Valkyrie. (aprox 6 lbs)
I am new to E.P. and would apreciate any help with the electrics.
Big prop and low RPM.
I NEED TO KNOW what lipos to use with this motor and esc and additional items needed. Thank you, Steve

Servo database
Servo database updates information
The servo database is updated, with additional bearing count field.
So here the input fields we have in this database:
1. Product : Servo name (text field)
2. Part Number : text field
3. Digital/Analog : Drop down
4. Manufacturer: Auto complete text field
5. Torque @4.8v : Number only text field (kg/cm)
6. Torque @6v : Number only text field (kg/cm)
7. Speed@4.8v/60deg : Number only text field (at 60 degree, I will try to put linear speed calculator to convert from 30 or 45 degree to 60 degree, so we can have uniform value in database)
8. Speed@6v/60deg : Number only text field
9. Gears Material :Drop down.
10. Motor Type :Drop down (3 poles core, 5 poles core, coreless, brushless)
11. Bearing : Drop down number of bearing, if it bushing please use 0 value. (0,1,2)
12. Spline : Number only text field (vary across several manufacturer, 23-25 splines)
13. Weight (gr) : Number only text field
14. Length (mm) : Number only text field
15. Width (mm) : Number only text field
16. Height (mm) : Number only text field

I recently picked up a CBA III to test some batteries with.. I've always wondered "is it really what it says it is?"
Well, with this device we can all find out..
So far, I am just running the packs at a 1C rate of discharge..
I recently took 3 of my 1300 packs and ran them at 1C..
Looks like they are all decently close to 1300mah packs..
The Parkzone came in first at 1.27ah.. $34.95
Followed by the Turnigy at 1.26ah.. $10.97
Last, the CSRC pack at 1.21ah.. $38.95
Looks like the Turnigy kept it's voltage the longest..
All packs have seen the same life.. 4 flights on each pack..
