Nirvana's time tested very water tight electronics bay. Pretty much eliminates the need for a drain plug.

everything out-found a perfect replacement switch at RadioShack to fit in the little original case-now sealed tight with liquid elec. tape .
pilot hole -this size because I had a plastic plug this diameter if this idea wasn't gonna work out.....nothing under there.whew
new battery compartment!-mini led lights show keel trunk from deck down to hull. bet you never saw this before.opening is 1.25" X 2.5"
better pic shows athwartships keel supports at inside hull. pretty open foreward ,aft end blocked by elec. compartment .dry and clean.
ok,this basswood box will hold my 5cell,6v flat NiCD,1500ma.(another orphan bit) it's varnished .......because I'm nuts.
battery box in w/pack.under the deck to the left is a piece of wood ca'd under the deck. #2 wood screws hold top of box to this-it's pretty solid -and bottom sits on hull .
all the elec. bits back in - I made a new servo arm out of 1/4" plexi with a grommet at the dumb end -makes nice smooth hole for sheets to go through.
I spray painted some thin plastic same color as deck(almond) it's held in place with waterproof tape - from a distance you'll never see it there.stealthy power hee hee.
awwww-former shelf queen.the keels around here someplace.......wonder where.I'll need that now.
driving one hand,camera in other.
see? found the keel......

The cobbled together boom vang. Left the original ring and stub on the boom, just put a small eye screw through it, so I could clip the clevis into it. Not as polished a solution as I would like, will probably keep fiddling with it.
Fishing swivel on the jib. Nothing fancy but NO friction at all. The Spectra line helps too.
Dressed up the cabin a bit with some life preservers.
Slight modification. Allowing swivel to slide all the way to the left, created a lop sided sheet adjustment. Had to put a stopper screw in one of the original screw holes. Fairly even now. Not very elegant, but it works for now.
