Parts included in the X468 FlameGear Camera mount/Landing Gear
I coated the whole length of the short shafts and the Aluminum inserts. I let them sit for a few hours before touching them. I feel this step is VERY important as some of the short tubes splinter a little from inserting the inserts. Not all the way throug
Some parts after pilot holes are drilled to 1/8". Only the 8 bolts are actually 1/8" so next build I will drill the rest of the holes a little smaller as the nylon hardware is smaller than 1/8".
1st step of the build. Mount the front plate and 2 legs togeather using the 4 short rails and bolts.
install the rubber grommets. Still have to drill these pieces.
slide the camera mount tabs on the rails.
Next attach the back plate and 2 legs and bolt togeather. Do NOT use loctite on ANY part of this build. Also install the grommets in the legs.
Next step is to assemble the camera mount and install the servos.
In this pic you can see how everything goes togeather.
Plaese note: The kit comes with nylon nuts/bolts to hold the camera tray togeather but I chose to CA the camera plate togeather. Its more rigid this way.
Notice I coated just the ends with CA so they dont fray.

Here is how I installed the other servo.
Next step was to mount the camera tray to the camera mount
This is my spin on the installation. I went direct instead of linkage. I will hav to see how it works this way.

Ball link mount and shortened linkage. I mounted the servo behind the plate to improve the geometry.
5/16 of clearance
