After approximately 2 to 3 hours the repair gets rubbery. You can then trim it with a sharp blade but just remember to do the trimming on the down stroke with the repair facing you. If you have a dremel than just let dry completely. The process takes a fe
Place CF over repair and blot the air out with some scrap. DO NOT rub as the cloth will move and you can remove epoxy from the repair.
Using a pair of tweezers place the cloth directly into the finishing epoxy until it is absorbed throughout the clothe. Flip if necessary. DO NOT attempt to thin regular epoxy as it alters the properties and the repair will not be as strong. The CF and epo
Cut CF clothe a bit wider than they gear to be sure you get good coverage. If you want too cut another to overlap the first layer for extra strength.
Press parts together firmly and let thin CA wic into gear and let dry. Should only take a second or two.

I built this battery tray for a life pack. This will allow me to shift cg around if needed.
Mix finishing epoxy and lay strips flat in the batch. Use tweezers to place CF on the repair.Blot with a piece of scrap balsa with the blunt end to remove the air pockets. DO NOT scrape as this will remove epoxy from the repair.

A bit of trimming left to do but almost there.

Cut 2 pieces of CF a bit wider than the gear.
Align the pieces and push them together as tightly as possible. Apply thin set CA liberally to soak the CF.
Broken gear for MXS. Stupid rough field will get ya every time.

My first Extreme Flight build I got last week. Build was simple.

Torque 2818 900kv Castle Creations ThunderBird 54 amp ESC. GensAce 3s 2200 Hitec HS-65 servos.
Even comes with a Seagull on the mast.
The screw and rudder are functional!!! The simulated shoe iron is constructed from actual metal.
Cabin includes brass door knobs and windows are clear and not painted on as with other generic brand made boats.
Canopy is constructed from cloth. Mast is functional to replicate storage of the canopy.
The boat is 42" from bow to stern.
Crash!!! I think that left a mark!!! LOL
Fuse is almost ready.
Wing repair is almost done. Ready for monokote. Need to find color.
Nothing like reliable O.S. 70FS power for pulling out of those steep dives in pursuit of the enemy. Foamies!!! YUM YUM!!! LOL
