My other "hobby"
A few blooms on a cluster of 8 small Palo Verdes all close together - note the desert bee (they don't sting)
This is where the landscapers killed desert shrub #2. When you let a Palo Verde tree grow to maybe 3 feet and cut it at the base, you get a nice little shrub effect. Amazing tree, more on that later.
Yucca, unknown subspecies. Needs a lot of pruning.
Unknown desert shrub. Has many yellow blooms in season. When we bought the house the landscapers had nearly butchered this one dead. No thorns.
Bougainvillea - very common here, cheap to buy, grows like a weed. I hear the less you water it, the faster it grows. Very thorny.
