The TP creates a little drag in flight but the Nippy Black is a Hoss so it's no problem to crusie up to 400' or so and then drop the load. At the field we've scrambled foamies and Slow Sticks up into a pattern and then drop the TP down too
I used a nylon control horn for the pivot point and then bent a fairly stiff control rod wire to restrain the TP. The rod is locked into the control horn with a push-on keeper.
I had to peel off about a 1/3rd of the roll to get ground clearance. The rubber band comes off if you want the TP to unroll as it falls. Otherwise you can do precision bombing with the rubber band installed.
Some guys like to make repairs with same color monokote, but I think bandaids with little inscriptions add a nice touch <LOL>
