right tread is not moveing

My friend assigned me to fixing his rc tank. Its a HL. I seems as though the right driver gear thing isn't connected to the gearbox. I haven't gon inside the tank partly because I don't really know how. I think I can do it by removing the 3 screws at the bottom. PLEASE HELP ME!

What is the tank, they are a little different on how you take the top hull off!

Does your friend know what kind of tank he has? There are going to be alot more than 3 screws involved in this repair. If its a Tiger you will need to take the tracks off. There are nine screws to take the top off. The more info you can give, the better we can help you.

It's a tiger 1. Now all I need is someone to tell me how to get in it. Please keep in mind that I've never done anything other than drive this thing.

He's being a friend. Ok, if you think your up to it I'll walk you through it. First, go to www.tankzone.com.uk and look under Heng Long upgrades. Theres a tremendous amount of good info that you need there. It will tell you how to take the Tiger apart. Remember, you will have alot of small screws, so do this somewhere were you wont lose them. I like to use the battery lid as a screw keeper/organizer. Once you have the tank apart, start asking questions. Good luck.

One, he's a 6th grader and another reason is he's lazy about fixing or building things. And last, he asked me to. Why not?

Home work is such a pain... SO, I took off the tracks and I unscrewed 9 screws in total. I Lifted of the cover and found that the gear connected to the motor shaft had slid of. I don't have any thread lock, but my french teacher does so I'll do that before class this morning.

I put it all together and drove it around. After about 30 seconds, the gear, i think, came off again. Does anyone have anything that can keep it on?

You could solder or epoxy it on. Or call RC Command and ask Bill what to do. Go to www.rccommand.com
