You're right, I guess my monobloc was actually 1 1/2 and the total width was 2". I used two pieces of 3/4" blue glued together for my monobloc. I can't remember if it was my 33 or my 42 that I widened the monobloc and had to change the width of the top and bottom fuse pieces. I wish I could find some of that 2" sheet around here for my railroad mountains!

I'll bet you can make a 33" Blubaby from one sheet, with the exception of the monobloc (though you might get enough bloc layers to get a good monobloc too from the scraps. For sure a 24 can be made!

You will get lots of help if you ask the questions in the actual BluBaby thread, it's way more active than this one. This one is mostly for reference.

Best to ask that question on the Blu Baby thread, you'll find some recent example and the same question recently asked over there:

Newbee needs advice on BB

Hi everyone.

This will be my first foamie build, ever, and was wondering if I can use PVA glue like Titebond white as I don't have any PU at home?

Also, I cannot find this pink or blue foam in my area of the UK, and could only get normal polystyrene in 1/4" thick white sheets as used for insulation, although I managed to get 2" thick sheet as well to make the monoblock. The 1/4" sheets are strong but I worry that they will snap whenI roll for the wing. Will a hairdryer assist me in rolling?

Many thanks, and I will have loads of Q's as this is my first ever plane.

Regards

Plans and commercially available Tony approved kits.

The Blu-Baby 33 Classic is the straight up recreation of the one that started it all. A couple of exceptions are that it has a 1.5" wide fuselage for better finger access, and an engineered internal structure that rivals or exceeds the monoblock setup. All parts are CNC cut of the same material, which is now Model Plane Foam.

Here is picture of the prototype classic kit assembled.

In connection and with similar modifications is the Blu-Baby 33 Trike, which as the name implies is a tricycle landing gear version of the original, and comes with the optional swept fin. It to is manufactured fromt the same foam, which is white in color.

This is a picture of the prototype Trike kit.

Thank you for suggesting this Jack. For some reason I thought it already was. I even went back to look.
