Multiplex Funcopter

Someone posted a link to the new Multiplex lineup in the Foamies (Kit) forum, and of note is the new Funcopter. Is US pricing available for this kit yet? It looks like a very good challenger to the HBFP or 4#3 FP helis if the price is low enough. Possibly a good FPV or light AP vehicle too.

Have you checked out the size of it? The rotor diameter is 770mm, which makes it bigger than a T-Rex 450. The weight is a whopping 1250g. I've never seen a FP as big as that before. It looks like a giant PicooZ.

its an updated version of the lite machines corona, multiplex apparently bought the rights/patents/machinery from them. it is a big fp machine but they are great flyers and little tanks! a great beginner machine that will take *lots* of abuse, i can't get one of these fast enough.

I see. I doubt I'll get one because I've already got several CP helis. I have a few friends that are only just getting into helis so perhaps I'll tell them to check it out.

Ahh that explains it. The flybar, tail blades, and parts of the frame design looked awfully familiar. Either way it looks like a great beginner heli and possibly good for FPV as well.

Excellent collaboration between MPX and Light Machine Helicopters (LMH)! Plus MPX taking the LMH a step further. I miss my LMH Corona and will be seriously looking at the FunnyCopter for a great practice (and fun) heli. Thanks MPX.

I have a feeling this heli will obtain somewhat of a cult satus like the EasyStar. I can just imagine all the modifications and colour schemes that people do with it.

That is totally COOL! I love the durability of it and the SIZE of it, it looks to be ideal for a beginner!

Though I've progressed, I still love to fly my little Honeybee FP around just for kicks. the problem is that it is so small that it is hard to see. With this full fuselage, it seems to have a great visibility signature!

Sign me up! I'm guessing it'll come out at a RTF, but that radio didn't look 2.4ghz... I sure hope they offer a kit...

I saw on another site that they are going to offer an ARF!

I recently saw some close up pictures of the "servo arms" on the RTF model. They appear to be 2 parallel arms trapping a metal barrel thru which a control rod would go and be trapped by a setscrew probably. I was planning on getting the model without the electronics and using HS-82's for everything except the tail. Is Multiplex going to supply these unique servo arms in the model that comes without the electronics?? See attached picture.

Yes, those arms should also be included in the kit.
