No worries, Dale..if it rains and the field is still flooded, we will pile in the load of small floatplanes and seaplanes, in addition to everything else we are bringing.

Chuck and Mike, I don't know of a close park but I will check. There is room for about 5 RVs on site with electricity only, first come first serve. The club hosting the event has no active web site so my club's (ARSkytigers) site will be an active link for maps and questions. The info will be up to date tomorrow (Monday) night. http://www.arskytigers.org

Autogyro Flight Testing

I've been putting my Mega Rainbow Autogyro through a rigorus flight test program. New blades are on the way and it will be ready for SMALL. It's a tough bird; kinda chewy

Richard Ng and I have a number of maidens of new models for SMALL planned for tomorrow.

Richard has at least an RBC Flying Flea, a remaiden of the Rainbow Autogryo with new blades, an Exceed F-35 and and something else, I think.

I have ready to maiden (or will by tomorrow afternoon) a new RBC Spitfire 1 (E-flite Power 15, 3S 2350s), a neat old Cox foam RF-5 Sportavia converted from .049 glow to electric and a special model in honor of Joe Wagner, who I sure hope will be there again this year...a vintage Veco Dakota sport F/F bipe (Mine was actually the later Dumas kit), finished in clear dope and converted to small electric stuff. I built this model about 15 years back, but never got around to installing a motor and flying it as a free flight. I slipped in a couple of BMS 303 4.3 gram micro servos, a fairly hot little Elemotor outrunner and a 10 am ESC....seems to have lots of power on just 2S and a 4.5" prop.

Still hope to have ready by the middle of the week a refurbished EAM Dh 88 Comet recently picked up at a swap meet and hopefully my new Windrider BD-5J foamie EDF model.

I guess I'm not entirely clear about a few things. Will there be flying at the field all day Fri, Sat, and Sun? Is there only room for 5 RV's or 5 RV's with elec. We don't need any hookups, just a place to park a small RV.

Mike,

There is all day flying Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Tom and I, Pat and several others got there Thursday and got in a lot of early flying.

I think the five places for RVs is just for spaces with electric hookup. There is plenty of other space to park your trailer and set up canopies.

As I recall, there are usually not 5 RVs at the field....more like 2-3 usually...if you get there Thursday afternoon, there will be an electric hookup, for sure.

Yes the 5 limit is only for electric hook up. Room for more.
