Thanks for the help on the antenna placement... forgive me but I can't figure out the Flight condition programming you supplied to get rid of the twitch I was getting with Flight Condition setup for hold.

Hi friends, please help me:

I am using my Optima 6 receiver in my T27 Tucano (4 channel). I put navigation lights on the wing, and would like to choose one available channel
to turn it on and off. Since the led has two wires (red and black) it didnīt worked. I put the conector on the 5š port, in the receiver. To test If I did right the configuration, I plugged a servo, and it worked properly.

am using this led here:

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...th_Switch.html

Any ideas?

Thank you!

Luis, your A9 will not turn on lights without a receiver operated switch. Turnigy makes one, but I have to find it.

Switch is supposed to be incorporated, but from user feedback
"bought this kit thinking it would be switched from a spare channel on the tx.
It doesnt. Basically it is two DOUBLE leds. when the switch is in one position,
there is a faint light ring around the main LEDs. Bit like a BMW 5 series angel lights.
Looks cool but not bright enough really. When the switch is moved to the other position,
the main LEDs come on which are pretty bright. I guess you install this and if you want to
fly with lights, you just just power on before your flight. which is fair enough.
I also bought a Turnigy rx controlled on/off swich which can be used with this if you need.
Both are pretty good value for money so cant complain really."

The electronic switch will operate the same as an ESC as per
. EPA, ATV, Dual & Triple Rates, Expo Differences & Caution includes ESC / BEC Set Up.
Plug into Ch5, then either reduce the trim of that channel to minimum or expand EPA both sides to 120%.
Make sure switch is activated - go to channel, select Ch5, allocate switch and on/off positions.

What's the verdict on the Hobbyking compatible RX reliability? I've been looking at the Aurora 9 and want to use it with helicopters.

Two of several recent threads, users express satisfaction:
. New $22 Hitec 2.4ghz receivers from HK.
. HobbyKing releases Hitec 2.4 Compatible Receivers

The HK Minimas do a great job of filling a few gaps (PPM, RSSI, micro) in the Hitec receiver lineup. I'm using PPM on an Atom 500 (with SK540), DJI 450 quad (with KK2.0), wireless phoenix sim, and micro traditional on a Radjet 420, profile foamy, and mugi evo sloper.

Actually, these rx's aren't built by Hobby King. Just sold. Altitude Hobbies also sells them.

+1. Yes, finally having PPM is great, and they even redirect the upper channels to the outputs as well, so you can still have retracts and switchable lights etc.

It's actually a FrSky RX running Hitec compatible firmware. Rumor is that they licensed it from a member here who reverse engineered the Hitec protocol and wrote a Hitec compatible firmware for FrSky RX's but nobody is talking.

It is pretty sad that we have to get simple and innovative features from another source. It's amazing how slow Hitec's new product development is.
