Mike, does she fly slow too?

I'm trying to build the lightest plane possible to keep the wing loading down and the vertical performance up. Sounds like a viagra commercial : )

My very first GWS Corsair ever was glassed and reinforced to take the many crashes it would endure when I first started flying,. It weighed 23 oz RTF and it flew nice.

I am almost done and this one should come in just under 13 oz RTF!!! and have 150+ watts per pound. : )

Matt, That is light! Mr. Lin wanted to get these set ups to us with the lightest wing loading possible as it is more beneficial to our show (speed/safety). If you guys have a chance please let GWS4CEO (Mr. Lin) know that you appreciate his time/ money/effort to get this done. It would mean a lot! Thanks again to everyone.

Hi Lee,
All Allied Fighters will need their legs. Gonna need to takeoff from the ground.
The Zero pilots get to cheat and will not need them

My vote would be for the gear. They are set up pretty light now and should someone need to depart or emergency land on the carrier it would be best to have them down and locked. Zero pilots might be a different story, but we need to organize a meeting in the next week or so. Any ideas on how to do this? At a club field, teleconference, chat group...etc?

I have some old cheap GWS retracts that I may put on my Zero. Especially since they will not be needed for any "landings".

Since most of us are either GQF or Wingnutz members, I'd say a meeting at GQF would work. Just not this weekend as most of us will be in Tucson!

A meeting at any flying field is needed, we can talk about what will, won’t work and then put these ideas to real time practice. A chat forum will be needed to supplement for those who could not attend and or work out issues that may come up after the first practice run. This Friday and Saturday I will be at Speedworld R/C flyers with all my old racing buddies but I will be free after that.

Gear goes on the P38 tonight and then it will be just about flight ready, I am also waiting for painted parts to dry before they go on. This is going to be a blast! cant wait to shoot down a Zero or two.
