Nice job Springer! The P-40 is one of my all time favorites as well, sorry to hear about the mishap. Mine is still in flying condition but my building skills have came a long ways since I built it. I was just looking at it on the wall and contemplating a rebuild just to see what I could do better. The fact that it's still flying keeps it from the top of my list though...

I'm also jealous of your flying spot. Around here they are too few and far between. My two closest spots are schools and both have construction going on right now so I have to wait and see if they will still be usable when it's done. I've told my wife that the next time we move having a flying area nearby (or preferable a house I can fly at) is going to be a high priority!

Thanks, guy. Kinda amazing how long ago we were building ours - nearly two years ago! Sounds like maybe in the dead of winter build season, you should take yours down and start a rebuild. ( or as you said about your build skills - which I've been following, by the way (the Porco Rosso is the bomb!) a brand new build more rounded fuse, etc, etc)

I am blessed with a nice long runway and mostly open sky, and the beans are coming off as I type, so I won't have to worry about losing planes out to the west. Corn still to the east, tho, so not completely open yet. Ya gotta keep your priorities straight! At least regarding flying locations!
