I look forward to this one as well. I have a bunch of 1800-2200 3S lying around!

I see that the horizontal tail is flat, without the airfoil shape of the larger Slicks. I wonder how this affects the flying qualities?

The Rudder and Horizontal is flat, we have increased the size in order to help with the fact the the stab is not as effecient. The problem with going to an airfoiled tail on a plane this small is they tend to get heavy.

In another thread you mentioned trying to make smaller models fly big - have you found doing that challenging?

I know my 51" Slick flies very big.

It is a bit challenging but that is the part of this hobby I enjoy. If everything were easy to do then it would be no fun. It really is a wonderful feeling when your able to accomplish this task.

I'm amazed at how far these little planes have come recently. I'm glad you and Scott are helping Ben push the envelope.

Looks like I am going to have to have this one and the Extra SC too. With these and the 40" Edges, I'll have a great park flying arsenal

Is the 42" going to be offered in the yellow scheme along with the AJ red/white scheme?

Guys - Glad to see there's plenty of interest in this little guy. Andrew did a fine job on this one, and it flies very well. At Arizona, he took several people by surprise flying the 42", and they thought it was the 51" until he landed and picked it up.

Several of the details are being finalized this week, I'll make some posts about the specs a bit later.

We're going to do them in both the Red and the Yellow schemes.

Video is cooking, will post soon, hopefully within 24 hrs.

Looks good. I liked the snap to hover at ~3:08. Definitely going to have to pick one of these up for the back yard.
