On my DX8 one direction is plus and the other is minus, this was the same with my Aurora 9.
And that's what I was saying that is confusing.... Yes whether it be + or - I don't remember, but one goes up, and the other down. But one mix does allow both to go up or down when I rudder left or right... Maybe I set up separate mixes for rud left, and another mix for rud right?

My Xmitter (Futaba 6c), only has two mixes available. I am considering a radio upgrade, esp, if I need more mix options....

So the question I have now, do you set separate mixes for left and right rudder? And if not, mine goes....say, up elev on right rud., and down elev on left rud, in the mix.

I apologize for my ignorance on the subject, like I said...new to 3d flying still, and have never worked with mixes before....

It all depends on what your bird is doing which in turn will dictate which way u mix in you elevator. Go to bone docs video on knife edge mixing

im flying dx8 and i can input both sided mix on a rudder... i think one of the reasons why i upgraded from dx6 was to get a bit more mixes... (i THINK on dx6 i also had to set up separate mixing) dx8-no such problem (i assume any radio on dx8 level would be the same)

Hi Guys,
I just got a 42 slick V1. I am using a Eflite Power 10 HS65MG for rudder and elevator and HS65HB for the ailerons.

Is it okay to use a Eflite 60 amp ESC? the only other ESC i have is the Eflite 40amp. Are there any drawbacks with going with th 60 amp other than weight. Its only a 2gram difference in weight.

Thanks...I just need to attach my control lonkages and my Slick is ready for the maiden. Any suggestions advice?

2g isn't a deal breaker, but a light 42 definitely performs better then the heavier 42 post stall.

It is... I liked 160g batts or less with a 100g motor and a 50g speed controller... Anything heavier added negative results for me.

Hey there Slick 42 experts...

I am looking at a used (new in the box) 3DHS Slick 42 that's for sale and I am trying to figure out how to tell which version it is. The guy I'm talking to says hes had it for about a year and never even had it out of the box. From what I have read, the canopy is different and the landing gear. Are there more differences? How can I tell from looking at pics?

Sorry for my noobness, but I have never owned a 3DHS plane (or balsa plane for that matter) and I am looking to purchase my first.

Thanks for your help,
Greg
