im having the same issues as tram lols.... cant seem to lay the gear in to get the cg on the mark... i think im gonna have to add some stick on lead to balance her out... or use a stick mount to push the motor out a bit

ill get it figured out!

Turbored, what batteries are you using? It should just fit perfectly behind the motor, also the cg can be moved back 1/4 inch without major flight fighting! I'll post some pics. Joser

P.S. Post #19 has a good shot of the gear in place.

Turbored, I just used the CG calculator to get the three values for the CG. Test flight 6.75 inches from the front of the motor plate, all around sport up to 7.5 back from the front of the mount plate and expert 8.5 from the back of the plate, we use 40% expo to tame the twichiness down so it's nice and smooth in the middle. have fun!! i have lots of different batteries but the motor im using is an inrunner off a stryker and a clamp mount i have small outrunners like the ones you use but id like to use it on something else

ill get it sorted out i might try it at 7.5 see how it goes there i can get the balance their with my 1250 3s or 1050 3s

Yeh, I need to move stuff around on mine.. Had a mishap with a plane yesterday I had to fix.. Next on the block is the Cat..

My issue is I'm trying to put too large a battery in it..

I have a longer fuse, shorter wing span version that I use the inrunners on, ( Cheetah). I have mounted the MEGA 16/15/2 on it but the speed control is being a butt (60 amp). I am, however, from the old guard ( U.S. Coast Guard) so I know how to pack 20# of S.hip H.igh I.n T.ransport into a ten pound bag! I will post a video as soon as I muster up the cojones to fly it! Joser.

Well... I got the gear sit-chee-ated so's to have a proper CG at 6.75".

Looks like the power system will be..

MicroDan Velocity
CSRC 75amp ESC
CSRC 3S 2200
HS56's

I also tweaked mine just a bit..

I put the vert stabs on the wing tips..

Now, I just need to maiden the sucker...

Oh, somethings bound to rip.. Whether it's the plane or the covering, something will..

I'm leaving for a 3-day tomorrow, so if I'll probably maiden it either Wednesday or on the way to SEFF..

Hoooooooly smoooookes! I just got done watching NASCAR at Taladega, you guys remind me of those crazy scientist mechanics trying to shoehorn BIG power into small airframes!!!!! LOL Have fun and drive safely, we'll see you at SEFF!!
