Cool! I'm going to try to get my mini KingCat going for the meet but I doubt I'll have the time.

Yeah, the mini KingCat I designed after looking at the P-cat forum. I did not like the 1/4 solid balsa wings so I made mine as a foam core / obechi. Also I did use the original KingCat three views to deisgn mine. I've made a dozen or so for my friends around here in central Florida.

Turbored, are you coming to SEFF? If you are we will have about half a dozen to fly at the same time, we could probably have a hornets nest sounding ball! Tram are you going to fly your CAT at SEFF?

I built something similar from the Scratch built thread. All blue foam.

Mine is not as fast but more 3D. It runs a 1100kv 2217-08 Suppo motor using a 9x4.7. Awesome vertical climb but maybe only 50 mph top speed.

And it's got a rudder. I can sorta do knive edges with it. Hammer head's nicely. Trying to do one of those flat spins but haven't quite gotten there yet.

Here's my post from a while ago: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...&postcount=599

Tram, 3s 1500 is the biggest pack we have run on the wing but the 1345 seems to be the best performing for the weight. I have been in contact with Vinnie from justgofly.com and we will be trying one of his 400DF, 450TH and the 500. We'll see where we go this! Have fun experimenting with speed, but as the video shows, it's cooking with the 1345's! Joser
