Thanks.

That wasn't what I really wanted to hear, so any sellers out there?????
Don hi do you remember they did a giant version as well s600 size but very expensive lots of Shiny bits. The model aircraft itself is a scale version of an ultralight.

Hi Guys,
Took mine out to the field today and got in two 12 min flights with it. Many touch n' gos! This is one great flyer! Really enjoyed it. No wind to speak of today. Very few days like that so far this winter.

Used a bit less than 1900 mah of the first set of batteries - 2 ea TP 2S1P 2100 Prolites in parallel.

Hey guys;

I have one of the old single engine (motor) Aventura ARFs, but haven't put it together yet. It looks like a pretty well built plane. Are plans or three views available to help in converting the single into a twin? I've been having lotsa fun with my Great Planes PBY and am really enjoying water flying. By the way, on another thread, the use of a spray on material called "Corrosion X" was mentioned and given very good reviews for waterproofing of vulnerable electronics such as receivers, ESCs etc. I've used it, but so far have been lucky enough not to have put it to the "test".

Regards,
Grog

Airboatflyingshp,
Never knew about that S600 size, THAT IS AWESOME!!!!
I bet it would be a magnificent flyer. Where'How did you get it????
Hobby Lobby didn't have it in their product line.
Is it still available?????

Hey Grog,
You shouldn't make your beautifu single motor version a twin, with today's brushless motors there is no need, except for aesthetic reasons.
Either way you will find ityo be a delightful fun flyer.
BTW, CorrosionX works really well.
Good luck with yours, but if you decide to part with yours, keep me in mind. I'm still looking for a single motor version.

Hey Joe,
"You don't need no stinking water", Snow is just as good, LOL
Don

Can someone translate?

After two computer crashes thats all I have but carve a plug from foam and use the lost foam technique or just hollow it and you could build one.

Airboatflyingdhp,
THANKS for those magnificent photos and the instruction manual.
Those photos are incredible and show the excellent design and rigging.
Great engineering. The manual is very similar to the smaller version, so full of detail, and takes time to comprehend.
Unfortunately the kit manufacturer "Formoplast", of the Czech Republic, is no longer in business.

I used Google Translate www.translate.google.com for the following portions:

The first hulls with complete accessories (cab, auxiliary floats) are already available.
The first kit will appear on the market at the beginning r.2005, (year 2005)

She sure was a beauty,

What a perfect day for the maiden water flight! Couldn't use the YMCA pool for float tests. Water line is parrallel to the flight balance line. I by-passed comon sense when I saw that the water rudder is 1/4" above the water. That puts the hull waterline at the top of the hull V. Taxi runs with full up elevator didn't show any nose dipping, but also couldn't get the tail down enough to submerge the water rudder.
The cameraman is a rookie and only the takeoff out of all the sequence of shots is worth viewing. Any instructions on how I go about making it useable for you to see?
I advanced the throttle slowly during the long straight run and she lifted off smoothly. However, it was aimed directly at the fisherman on the rapidly closing opposite shore and trees. Flight response is excellent. Rolls and loops well. Good handling at all power settings. Half the flight was at slow low level passes to give the cameraman a chance.
Desided to make a few T&Gs; Used a nice low power approach and blipped a bit of power at knee-high to stop the descent. big mistake....the nose dipped but I got it to hit level but hard. The right float was submerged. One of the power blips while trying to get it that last 20' to shore dipped the nose into the water and she posed perfectly vertical for a moment before continuing onto the back. It was within reach of the 20' FG pole and easily retrieved.
The right float bottom is missing. No other damage. Will be easy to fix. The water rudder will be lengthened. The A123 battery 3s2200mah (2 three cell parrallel units) performed as I expected and am very satisfied.
Any other suggestions?
