Bluecor Fan-fold P-47 Ready to Fly!

Hey gang, I think I'm starting to get the hang of this Bluecor foam!

Here are the templates for the fuselage.

Specs:

Wingspan: 38"
AUW: 22 oz
Prop: 9x6 APC-E
Motor: Mega 16/15/7
Batteries: 8x600AE and 10x500 (sr batteries) and 8x800 nimh

Here are the forward four fuselage pieces, glued together. I have mounted the plywood motor mount.

The one-piece wing turned out great but I wasn't very successful trying to build in a little bit of dihedral after putting in the three spars. The wing is pretty straight.

I used two layers of bluecor for the top and bottom wings. There were two layers of 'spar' inside the wing. I debated using only one layer but decided on a thicker wing (and slower plane).

I glued the top and bottom wings together at the leading edge which turned out quite sharp. Later I sanded the leading edge to give it a better shape.

The canopy was a little project of its own.

I created some decals using Paint and an inkjet printer.

And here she is, ready for her maiden flight!

... Any recommendations on the CG for the maiden flight? With the batteries inside, the CG is near the 25%-30% mark from the front of the wing.

I'll err towards the nose.

AZ...dang that's a great looking jug! Nice job on the taping too. Combat ready.
I think you'll be ok at 30% for the cg, just get ready to handle any unforseen balance issues. Should fly real, real nice with the Mega. Keep us up on the Sorties.
