Build Log
Pat Tritle's Chloe times 150%

I moved to The Villages in Florida a little over 3 years ago. From NY. I had been very active in electric r/c airplanes, rubber free flight and dabbled a little in r/c boats.

There is a fine electric r/c plane club here as well a very active model boat club. Since I have been here I have built 7 - 8 airplanes and 2 scale boats. Recently I found Pat Tritleís Chloe on his web site. I sent for the plans and here we go. Patís model is 26.5 inches long but I wanted a model a little longer so I increased it to 150% or about 40 inches long.

The hull frames and keel are cut from 3/16Ē balsa and sealed with Minwax Polycrylic.

The first two planks are attached. Using 1/8 x Ĺ balsa. So far it is going very well. This is the fun part watching the hull grow in to a boat.

Got the bottom planked and started the sides. So far everything going as planed. My planks are only 36" long so will have to use two pieces.

The planking is done. Now sanding and filling in the low spots with some spackle. The next step will be to fiber glass the hull.
